Who’s ready for summer?

weather reported we were to have a 'light dusting' of snow yesterday that would melt off quickly-woke yesterday morning to 8 inches and it continued to snow all day and night. our property looks like a Hallmark Christmas card (except for all the ducks in the pond that had already migrated here ::yes::). we are waiting for signs of spring.

Well, I am looking forward to lower electric bills that summer brings. It routinely gets to 100 or more here in the summer. But I have solar so if I keep the ac running and the house cool during the day, my free electricity runs the ac so my electric bills plunge.

Well.... half glass full.... Yuma summer started October 1st and ended today....to understand...from this point on we hibernation around our AC when the 🌞 🌞 🌞 is above... once the sun sets the temps drop comfortably and the living is easy..then those dark evenings and morning temperatures disappear and we are in our winter mode and put our lives at risk at 108 and above... just like the folks who had the freezing 🥶 🥶 🧊 🥶 🧊 🥶 weather...so it's winter living from June to November.... with humidity

Here in Colorado we've been having summer all winter.
And that is not a good thing.
I heard that Cascades Oregon are at 25% and Yuma depends on Colorado snow ❄️ 🌨️ 🌨️ 🌨️... Hoover was close to dead pool 18 months ago.....and 🏘️ 🏘️ 🏘️ 🏘️ 🏠 🏠 🏠 🏠 🏠 houses keep being built in Yuma... which means piracy of Mexico water in relation to Colorado snow melt

We had hints of spring, skipped right to summer, have 2 days of winter coming this week, then back to summer.

I switched my closet yesterday . Took out sweaters put in the sleeveless tops and summer dresses. The winter clothes are packed and are ready and waiting until the last few cold snaps are over to be stored.

{{sigh}} Same. It was snowing sideways here yesterday morning - full-on blizzard conditions. We've had more snow in March than we did in January and February combined. It's currently -16C. I can't even imagine summer yet, but I surely am ready for Spring.

Canadian spring: (snows)

I'm ready for summer travel, swimming laps in the pool, fresh tomatoes, blueberries, and blackberries from the garden, watermelon and corn on the cob, planting annual flowers like zinnia and marigolds, finding fireflies, butterflies, and not having to pack daily school lunches. Not so excited for the triple digit temperature days.

I think this is all a matter of where you live. I'd probably be longing for summer if I still lived in an area with real winter. We had a cold front go through overnight that will drop us into the 30s tomorrow morning, but we hit 87 yesterday, will be close to 90 by this weekend, and by next month...90s become the norm. After that, it's pushing high 90s to low 100s...and did I mention the humidity? We'll be approaching Halloween when we finally start seeing temps in the 80s again...and maybe, just maybe, it might cool off enough in November to feel like the start of the holidays.
