Hiya Gals...

So i think we may have the Whitehall room....after lots of thought! And possibly more thought .... its possible this may change... but i think it will end up being the Whitehall room...

I know you gals will be a massive help when i ask you this... please can you post as many photos of the Whitehall room decorated? The photos may be borrowed for your own inspiration or even from your own wedding. I need as many photos to gather together to make me have some inspiration! I am in bad need of inspiration for colours and decoration ... (for example i want a wacky coloured mad hatter cake and im scared it will look awful with a pretty decorated whitehall room...)

thank you all in advance!

:wizard:

Here are some pics from my wedding, I wanted orange and pink but I knew the Whitehall Room looked better with less modern colours so I changed and I was really happy with the results.

Sorry for so many, it's just when I was planning I had no idea what the rooms looked like and needed all the pics I could get. The Whitehall Room really was amazing, it;s right at the end of the convention center hallway so it feels really private and I loved that you can see Cinderella's Castle and the monorail going past. It's also really pretty at night when the lights are on at The GF. We danced inside and had plenty of room but we spent most of our time outdoors, even though it was raining, there is enough room undercover so you can still use the patio.

I chose WHR for my reception, thanks for the pics, it looked gorgeous!!

Thanks for posting these! Its great to see so many pics - especially with the bar! I was wondering where that fit in

I've officiallly got the Whitehall for my wedding reception (sending back my LOA tomorow - €80 to fed ex btw!!!!:scared1:) so can't wait to see what everyone else did!

Sorry to appear dumb but what does the btw stand for ?

Don't know if you've seen them, but there's photos of the White Hall room here

I don't think they're really decorated, but it shows you the room's colours.

Those were great pictures of the room! Thanks for posting them! We will be having our reception there for our vow renewal in November. My colors are chocolate brown and ivory with floral in all fall colors like yellow, orange, red, dark red. I tried so hard to find the right decor for that room because even though I do like it, I hate the carpet and drapes, and bird on the wall! My WP told me once the tables are in the room you won't notice the carpet that much. She also said once it is decorated it takes the eye away from the drapes and birds! So I hope she's right! I also made sure I told them to set the cake up as far away from the bird picture as possible! They usually put your cake on that marble table that is right in front of the bird mural. I did price out draping the room and adding mood lighting and itwas too much for us, about $3500.

thanks for those photos!

Do you think that the cake (which will be a mad hatter, with very bright colours) will suit the room? Will it look odd?

Has anyone ever had their cake outside? Can this be possible?

I was told that they drape the mirror with the bird on it and it's not that expensive. That was my only issue with the room. I love everything else.

I was concerned about the ugly birds, but I hardly noticed them with the tables. I didn't ask for my cake not to be put on a seperate table, but they did it anyway. If you check out Skylarrs TR, I think she had the birds covered so you can see how it looks.

I was told that having the cake outdoors may make the fondant/icing melt! But double check!

my concern is the colours .... when i visited this place i was a bit put off with the carpet... but with the help of seeing how other people have added colour - it helps a lot to see how they can 'work' with the carpet.

I did want bright colours, but obviously that would not work with the WHR colours and might look odd... so im swaying towards a champagne and baby pink... ???

Has anyone had bright colours in this room??

Hey Stacey! I have a slightly different perspective on WHR&P b/c I had my farewell brunch there. Our wedding was very non- Disney (aside from a few hidden Mickeys) so for our guests we decided to have a Knock Out totally WDW farewell brunch (and loved that the monorail went by WHR&P and you can see Cindy's castle from it). The centerpieces were all the various colors of Mickey Balloons, Mickey confetti, Disney beanies, pics of DH & I at WDW when we were kids, disposable cameras, and BRIGHT multi colored linens. (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple) ( FYI--Our WP forgot the box of cameras, pics, and beanies initially so he ran over to Franck's and brought 'em back- so some of the pics don't have the "complete centerpieces") We were supposed to have tables on the patio, but it was bitterly cold that morning.

I apologize that my pictures are limited b/c we relied on disposable cameras and guests digital cameras. So here are the best ones I could muster (excuse the expressions in some of em and the various sizes-- I'm just looking at getting the best linen/color pics ;):

First I have to throw in that my mom and my WP surprised me by having Goofy show up (he's my fav):

Various shots that I hope can atleast give you an idea of how the bright colors look:

HTH!! :goodvibes

oh yes ALLLLL photos are helping me at the moment!

I like to see what everyone has done to decorate the room - these balloons look great - how much did they cost?

Did anyone have any non floral centerpieces .... i.e snow globes ... - as i do not want floral and want something that can be kept..??

I had floating candles in cylinders on the patio and on our sweetheart table, and crystal lamps outside that were meant to be used for the dessert party. They were rented so you couldn't take them home, but it gives an idea of non floral center pieces.

I checked my Floral BEO and the balloons were:
"Mickey Latex balloon clusters in mixed bright colors on weight boxes. (7) balloons per cluster." Quantity:6 Cost:$34.00 Total:$204

HTH!!:thumbsup2

Great choice :thumbsup2 I'm going champagne/gold and pink too! I think they'll look great in the room!

Just a thought, but you're thinking of going for a bright coloured Mad Hatter Cake? And you're looking for non-floral centrepieces? what about bright coloured sweet (candy) centrepieces? I'm not sure if thats totally way off your theme but its just another alternative :cutie:
