Whitehall room and patio questions....

Is it true you can see the MK from the Whitehall patio? Would you then be able to see Wishes from there too?

What color are those curtains? I can't tell if they are blue and white or green and white.

If you had your cocktail hour and reception here how did you set it up? Tables inside and out?
What kind of tables did you use?
Dance floor or no? We are thinking of having a string quartet, where would they go in the room?

I would love if anyone has any pictures of their reception there to post them, please. I have searched and only found 3-4 pictures with it set up for a wedding. I know a ton of brides use this space.

Oh, one more thing, the birds on the wall. Did anyone else have an issue with them? DH hates them, LOL. Our SM said the florist can cover them. I'm wondering how they do that? What do they use?

The curtains are green and white. This isn't the best picture, but you can see the curtains quite well. LOL

I had the outside set up with just chairs and table for the pre-reception (cocktail hour). I just did a fruit tray for people to snack on. (Didn't want them to be full with all the food coming!) I also did my bouquet toss on the patio.

I'm not sure about seeing Wishes, but the monorail does go by, which is very Disney!

The reception was inside and set up with 3 large round tables and a sweetheart table for just us. The cake was by the painting, I didn't mind the birds (you can see it set up in the 4th picture). We didn't do a dance floor (afternoon reception) but we did have our first dance immediately after entering the room. There was lots of space and we just danced in the middle.

A string quartet will set up at the back and to the side. They were WONDERFUL! It added so much elegance to the whole reception and were worth ever penny!

I tried to find photos that showed the space and what we did with it. I hope this helps. I had a small wedding with 21 guests and did and afternoon tea reception.

You can see the top of the castle from the patio and the monorail going overhead.

We covered the birds from hell... not sure how they did it as we used an outside florist.

We had a custom made dance floor that was pretty small and a DJ.

We had our cocktail hour outside on the patio with tables and chairs and a kids table. Then we set the inside of the room up for dinner.

The curtains are green and white.

You're welcome. Don't worry too much about the carpet, it really isn't as noticeable as you would think once the decor is in place. I fretted and fretted over the carpet in the wedding pavilion (which I think is pretty close to the GF carpet) and on the day of I hardly noticed. It is a really beautiful room and it is so nice to be at the end of the hall and to have the patio etc. It's very private and my florist brought up the great point that you are not right next to another ballroom with who knows what going on.
