The problem is not with the login still being valid. It is remembering the password!

I am honored that you are here.

For some reason the statement that you "love labeling" ,coming from the woman who had the most organized Lego collection ever for her boys, did not surprise me! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I ran upstairs to get something and when I came back down, I saw my sandwich. On Ben’s plate for an afternoon snack. Guess I will be getting something at the airport after all.
At least someone ate it. I thought you were going to say that you forgot your sandwich at home and had to throw it away. ;) Roast pork sandwiches are delicous.

except that our arrival in Orlando was almost an hour earlier than scheduled. How does that happen?!?
That is awfully early. Our flights tend to land about 20 minutes early but an hour is crazy.

The basket was much fuller. The picture is only mine, Jeanne's and Lily's bands. Lily is so excited for her purple one that will be coming for our September "Grand" vacation. That is our name for grandparent/grandchild vacations to WDW!
I love the basket of bands. Someone likes green bands. ;) I'm glad that Lily gets purple for her Grand trip. :) I think Disney is going to be distributing a lot of purple bands since it is the best color. ;)

Teena and Bob's Florida house is beautiful and the Disney touches were just right!
That is probably why her house sold sooner than she thought it would. ::yes::

I started reading last night and thought that I had posted but just now realized that I left the page open on my computer but never posted. How very kind of you to fly to Florida to help Teena. I know that she really appreciated you doing that for her.

Meant to say I love the nighttime Orlando photo. Beautiful :)

Teena I hope that, just like Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh, you and lily have many Grand Adventures together:love:

Reading your trip report has been a great way to start my Saturday.
I agree with the others - Dee and Teena are both lucky to have such a strong friendship.
I understand the limitations of COPD and Teena, I can only imagine your relief to have Dee's help.
I am looking forward to more.

I'm here! I so wish we got to meet while I was there in January but oh well maybe some other time. You are such an awesome friend for going to help out Teena. A couple more trips and I'll have my own basket of bands. Can't wait to hear more!

The only time I had an issue with Mark was when I was complaining how difficult it was having multiple trip reports going at the same time. He didn't say anything, but his look reminded me that within a year, I had 3 trips to Disney without him.
I'll be making it up to him in October.
You better, he deserves it!!

Yes, I'm glad someone enjoyed it!

Unlike the meatloaf. I left very detailed instructions about what there was for food, how to cook it and what needed to be done while I was gone. So when Mark came home Monday night he asked if we were going to have the meatloaf. I said no, it was spoiled. He asked if he had baked it off would it have kept. I said yes. Then he asked "Was that in the note?"

:headache:

I could not believe when they told us the time we were going to land! And I had no way of contacting Teena while I was on the plane, so I am glad she was paying attention.

Isn't that basket of bands awesome? Definitely needs purple though.

She and Bob built that home and really made wise choices that make the house very desirable. Teena said I could post photos, so that will be in my next update.

Thanks for joining in!

It was my pleasure to help Teena and honestly, we had more fun than work during my visit.

Yes, both Teena and I have gained a lot from our friendship.

I was hoping to get a chance to run into you during the trip, but since I am not much of a runner, it didn't happen.

:(

A basket of bands is a worthy quest.

I certainly will make it up to him when we get away in October... (we all will) ...:lmao:

Whistle While We Work (This house is for the birds!) (And Mice)

This is the part of my trip reports when I generally will post pictures of the place I am staying. I told Teena that I wouldn’t post pictures of her home but she told me to go ahead.

Teena and Bob’s Florida home is beautiful. They built the home when they moved to Florida and it was truly thoughtfully designed. And of course I LOVE all of the Disney touches. It is heartwarming to know that Teena (and I learned Bob, too) had the opportunity to work at a place that was so special to them.

I had my own bedroom and bathroom during my stay.

One of the things that Teena and Bob loved most about this home was that these Sandhill Cranes would come and visit daily. I wanted to make sure I got some pictures.

Fri Jan 8-

Although we got to bed late Thursday night, for me anyway (around 11:30 pm), I was up bright and early the next morning. Teena said it was ok for me to go onto her computer, so I checked in on Facebook and the DISboards. I think I even posted, letting people know I had hijacked her account.

Teena told me one of the tasks we would be working on was the storage drawer- you know, the one everyone has with pencils, elastic bands, batteries, etc. I tackled this while Teena was still asleep. I gathered everything into piles and then we decided what would be tossed, what would be packed and what would stay in the drawer or out on the counter until the move.

Jeanne and her friend had done a lot of work the previous week going through closets and packing up stuff when she and Lily were visiting for Christmas break. The main thing I needed to do that day was the garage, since Teena’ COPD prevented her from that type of work.

I remembered to pack headphones, so I was listening to music while I was dusting off and moving boxes, breaking down and cleaning plastic shelves and recycling/trashing things she wouldn’t be needing.

I was out in Teena’s driveway dancing and singing (quietly) while scrubbing the shelves.

Things are always easier when we “Whistle While We Work”

Apparently, though, the cranes are not helpful with household tasks like the bluebirds in Snow White and the mice in Cinderella because they were nowhere to be found while we were working!

The one other thing I will describe from our day is that Teena had a bunch of stuff on Craig’s List that she was getting rid of- some furniture, strollers (free) and cardboard packing boxes that she didn’t need. Her phone was ringing and pinging.

One woman said she wanted the boxes and was coming by that morning. She arrived in her mini-van, had a couple of small children in the back of the vehicle. We loaded the cardboard and I asked her if she was moving. No.

She said this would sound strange, but she has an internet business where she ships car headlights all over the country.

:confused3

Not the answer either of us expected!!!

That’s all I’m going to share about the packing, because, well, you all would rather hear about Disney!

We left a little before 2 for a well-deserved and much anticipated night of play. And to meet up with a friend!

Next Up: What time is the 3:00 parade?

.

That's a beautiful house! We used to have that Mickey TV as well unfortunately it fell off the place it was sitting and broke.

You are so awesome for helping Teena out!

I think what time is the 3:00 parade is one of my favorite Disney tourist questions.

What a beautiful home Teena and Bob made together. While I'm sure Teena must miss florida badly I'm equally sure she will create a beautiful new home in Vegas with their girls :)
Love all the Disney touches especially the shower curtain
You are a true friend to help Teena in her time of need :love:and I'm sure your evening of fun was well deserved after all your hard work!:earseek:
Gosh no clue what time the 3 o'clock parade could possibly be at?:confused3

Teena and Bob had a lovely house. I love the Sandhill cranes. We just get sparrows and Cardinals and other common birds.

What a lovely home Teena and Bob made :grouphug: sorry the cranes were slackers in the packing department Dee, you are the best to help Teena pack  I bet it was great to spend some time with her even under the bittersweet circumstances.

Teena's home looks beautiful ... I love all of the Disney touches!

And I'm totally with you on the woodland creatures ... why can't they help with the housework? Things would go so much faster if the stupid squirrels that hang out in my yard could help me clean. It's pretty awesome of you to help Teena out so much (even if you didn't have special crane helpers).

Hi Dee I'm here!!
Is that your Toyota Sienna that got hit? My dad drives the exact same car and he also got hit with damage almost identical to yours. Someone was making a wrong turn when my dad had right of way and BAM! My dad's sienna is the same color as yours so I'm looking at it thinking, deja vu!

Your friend Teena has a really lovely home and love all the cute and tasteful Disney touches. That TV is outta this world!! So cute! Where did you guys get it?

Can't wait to hear more!
