Any comments on this restaurant for familes w/ young children. It sounds like it would be fun. I have ds 7, dd 4, dd 20 mths.

I think WC is a great experience and I think your children will especially love it. Great atmosphere and lots of fun. Make sure you ask for a specific color crayon and ketchup!!

The Kids will love it. Oh, and be sure to have DD tell them that he is really really thirsty and he needs a LARGE glass of water, coke, ....

relax and have a great time

It is a must with children. There is no way a child could be to loud or misbehave here. They can be a kid. That's what disneys about!!! The food is really good, and if you don't want their family style barbecue, you can still order ala carte off the menu. The servers just make the meal an experience!!! My two children love it! Be sure to ask for Ketchup!!! And watch what happens if you ask for too many refills on your beverage!! Have a great vacation!!

Disney wishes!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

I recognize WC's addition to the lore of eating at WDW, but I'm not a fan. The food is passable, but terribly overpriced for what you get even by Disney standards. We've been twice in nine months, and both times our server and service were mediocre. My DW, DD4, and I could see the fun being had around us, but our servers both times apparently just weren't the jolly, fun-loving types though they were pleasant enough. Further, the wait for the food and drink refills took a long time on both visits. We spent well over an hour at WC on each occasion which is a long time for a loud, boisterous restaurant when you're being ignored. I'm not saying don't go since most posters are very gung-ho on WC, but just be prepared that you might not get the treat for which you are looking. ;)

I am attempting to get CRT for bfast for DD 4th bday. Am trying to do another special meal for dinner. Any suggestions? Would WC be a good choice or one of the character meals?

To dbenlee: I have asked this question before and no one knew. What is with the color of the crayon. When I made our PS for JUne, the CM commented about that. Just curious what it is all about. Thanks. :)

I'm really almost afraid to say it on these boards, as this restaurant seems to be immensly popular, but we really don't like this place. When I go to a restaurant, I go to relax, enjoy the food, and to wind down. We get enough screaming and yelling in the parks, thank you.

That's why it's important to read the boards so you know what you're getting yourself in for. The yelling & screaming is all part of "the show" at WC. Sorry you didn't realize this beforehand, but there's a very quiet restaurant next door to WC for those who want a more sedate dining experience.

By the way, hello from Rochester!

If there are no crayons on the table or if there is not a specific color that is available on other tables, you can request it and the CM will turn to the rest of the restaurant and announce that the color you requested is needed at your table and everyone in the restaurant will bring you crayons. Before you know it, there will be crayons pouring off of your table. My son (then 5) was just totally amazed when this happened to him!! :earseek: He then enjoyed taking crayons to other tables when someone else asked.

I agree sleepydog. The food is simply average for the price. We were there at Easter and service was poor. Our kids are early teens and even they said the antics were a bit much.
