I just changed my reservations to us staying at the Wilderness Lodge from 2/18 to 2/25. Should we make reservations for the 18th at Whispering Canyon? I have dinner reservations for every other day.

Thanks!

Hi Matt,

That's the Saturday of President's Day weekend. I would highly recommend you do!

Bob

I would because we will be arriving around dinner time when we go in july and i am planning on making reservation for the first day too. We are also staying at the wilderness lodge.
HAVE FUN!!!! :cool1:  :cheer2: :dancer:

If you don't ADRs for any other time of your trip to eat there, then I would eat there your 1st nite. I have read so many great things about this restaurant that I changed my LTT ADR to WC after reading about it here.

We'll be there in less than 2 weeks! :cool1:

we ate there during our trip in november and loved it. the food was good but the atmosphere was so fun. go to the pictures of food page on disboards and look at some of the food, that is what made us decide to try it. as a matter of fact i never heard of it in all my trips to the world before looking at that page. if you have kids they will love it.

My DS9 is a bit shy and worried, after hearing about some of the WCC antics, that he'd be "forced" to race the stickhorses, etc. Can you play along with the fun, but keep it within limits without seeming like a wet blanket?

Great question! I was wondering the same thing. My kids would rather sit back and watch. I'd love to go, but don't want them to go through the meal with butterflies! Thanks!

I've read that if you just tell the CM that you or your kids don't want to particpate, they are really good about it!

and for making an ADR.......... YES!!!!

We ate there last month and the kids had a great time! My son loved passing the ketchup! I would make a ADR again. :earsboy:

In response to many of the posts...
1. Matt - make your ADR. Depending on what time you arrive, you may not feel like leaving the resort...So enjoy exploring the resort and have dinner at a great restaurant that serves great food with friendly service and is fun for the whole family!
2. DaisyDuck123 - You've traded one kind of character interaction for another. Be prepared for fun, fun, fun! Check out Deb's site dinner menu for WCC to see how to get in on it!
3. ptrbryant and daemom - Don't worry - just let the host AND server know. My guess is that your kids will probably warm to the place and may want to get involved (as my own shy DS did). The servers are so good at what they do that they can "read" how much to interact with your table.

In any case, EVERYONE ENJOY!

Ok thank you. But I need info. about this "Deb's site" for the dinner menu?
Thanks!

My DS7 is extremely shy. We have gone every time we visit the world. He does not do the stickhorse race but one time he helped put our ketchup on someone else's table. You can see menu and prices at allearsnet.com. We have always had ADR on must do's that way we don't miss it. This is what I consider a must do.

Thanks for the info! I think it will be fun! :flower:
