If you decide to do this, just be prepared that they may be unable to seat you early. Since all the restaurants are so busy due to free dining, if you arrive at 5pm for a 7:20pm reservation, you may luck out and get seated early, but it is more likely that you will have a 2+ hour wait.

There is no way I'd wait 2 hrs for Disney food, I'lll go outside the park and find a nice place to eat. I decided today I will not be stressed of eating park food

We are going to be staying at the VWL around that same time and I tried all over the place for those dates and could not get a decent time for dinner so we are going elsewhere. Thought we would go there for the convenience and I was VERY surprised when I couldn't get anything..

Thanks for all the great responses everyone! We are for sure glad it will be somewhere our almost 3yr will be able to just be herself and we dont have to worry too much about it!!! Would love the link with all the things to ask/say to your server.....? I will probably just keep checking online or keep calling.

Whispering Canyon is really a good / bad restaurant based on your individual tastes and the group you are going with. Younger people, especially those with children, will probably enjoy the atmosphere. But those looking for more relaxed dining should go somewhere else.
