Whispering Canyon - no more fun

we have an ADR for wcc the day we get there, sunday night our trip is 3wks out and i just made the adr yesterday i was surprised i had pick of times..anyway i hope its still lots of fun to get us in the spirit!

People want Disney to be more adult friendly and less kid centric...WHAT? If that is the case, take out ALL the characters, Mickey's Toon Town, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Alladin's carpets, etc etc etc. Because we all know as responsible adults...it is pretty childish and undignifired to play (like a child) right? Heaven forbid we might want stoop down to the level of a child....NO it is all about ME ME ME ME ME.

If you don't like what WCC was...don't go there...and shut up so the rest of us can enjoy it.

I couldn't have said it better myself :thumbsup2

We love WCC and all the antics, it is a must-do for every trip and since we are staying at WL for our upcoming March trip we will be doing WCC more than once. My DDs love it more than my DH and I do because the servers tend to pick on my DH more than the rest of us, and of course it is always fun to see daddy being the one picked on :rotfl2:

I've mentioned this before that I live near Disney and we go to eat on property all the time and we love WCC we love the craziness, we love the food and out of all the times we've eaten there and there have been MANY! only one time did we have kids with us LOL! But it's the magic of Disney to got out and be a kid again! Disney is for the young and young at heart

We went to WCC last September and it was as fun as ever. During our dinner I received a phone call from my sister. The server took my phone, asked my sister why she wasn't there. When she mentioned she wasn't invited she told the whole restaurant. It was hilarious!!!! It was good "clean" fun. I will definitely go back to WCC.

We are going back in March and hope that the fun is still there! My husband led the stick pony race...it was hilarious!

We just stayed at the wilderness lodge last week and it looked as busy and loud as it did 2 years ago when we went. We missed out on eating there this time just because we ran out of time. 2 years ago my almost 4 year old stood up infront of the entire resturant and sang Jingle Bells on the microphone. :) It was so cute and it really made him happy!!! I would be sad if that kind of atmosphere was gone.

We ate there this week and there was absolutely NOTHING going on at a lunch table. No jokes, no silliness, no ketchup, no dancing around, no nothing. I was pretty disappointed; it felt very flat. They did bring my FIL a card and a little chocolate cupcake for his birthday, and sing to him. But there were absolutely no festivities.

The service was excellent, the food was delicious, the prices reasonable, the seating great. Everything would have been perfectly nice if we hadn't been hoping for the experience we enjoyed so much in 2004.

From reports and a bit of logic, it seems that WWC lays off for the lunch service. Someone else pointed out that this is the only TS at WL so to give those at this resort a "regular" meal service they might have just nixed the antics for lunch.

We are going in March for dinner. I will be quite disappointed if I don't get a gallon of ketchup delivered to our table:lmao:
