Recent posts are making me reconsider my ADR for WCC. It was mentioned quite a few times in the post about your worst meal ever in Disney.

Anyway, is there anyone out there that loves WCC? How are the other menu items, aside from the skillet.

We eat there once every trip. I get the roasted chicken every time we go. It is really good if you like that sort of food. My husband gets the skillet every time. What can I say? He's your typical "meat and potatoes" kind of guy.

The mashed potatoes aren't creamy at all. That is something I see people complain about. They are "real" mashed potatoes, though.

Again, the baked beans are good if you like that sort of food, and I do.

Obviously we like it or we wouldn't keep going back.

My daughter would probably order the roast chicken, so thanks for the review, turkeymama!

Has anyone had the western chicken pasta? ...that sounds good to me.

I could totally see my dh ordering the skillet. And complaining about his stomach later on in the night.

We went once on our last trip. My Dh had the skillet and I had the enchilada. I really didn't like what I had but not that there was anything wrong with it, I just didn't like it. What really bothered me was that the server didn't ask if anything was wrong with my food. I only took about 4 bites. I'm not the type to complain unless there is a problem.

On the other hand, I started picking from the skillet and I loved everything. The salad was amazing and so were the shrimp.

We will go again but only if we are only the DDP and then we will all order the skillet.

My DD needed ketchup but was too shy to ask so DH did and the server made him stand up and yell for it. Well, he let it rip at full volume. :rotfl2:

We have been eating there every trip for years.

My family likes that the meal is completely different then any other and its always a welcomed change.

We order the skillet and to tell you the truth its really not my kind of meal, but there is so many things to choose that I always find something.

The Wilderness Lodge is also is great hotel to visit!!

We loved WCC and will definitely be going there again this trip. :thumbsup2

I LOVED the WCC, reminds me of food here at home, Southern food. The pasta is devine, you will love it. The atmosphere is fun too.

I love the WCC - and touring that resort is always a remarkable experience. I say go for it.

I took my wife there last year for a birthday lunch. We loved it, the food was great, the interaction with the cast members was great and the atmosphere was incredible, specifically the inside of the Wilderness Lodge!

We enjoyed WCC but won't be going back soon as there are so many others to try before repeating.
Be cautious of reading negative reviews here. It seems that a few that had really bad experiences seem to post to every thread that mentions the restaurant so when you read about a place it seems to have a lot of negative reviews even though they are just from a few people. I am in no way saying that they don't have the right to comment, all I am saying is that you need to carefully weigh all the reviews.

I say don't let any post or review make you change your mind about a restaurant at WDW. When we stayed at WL we had adr's at WCC and found it to be good. Not great, but it was good. I would go back. Experience it for yourself and then make your own opinions. ;)

Hey dude, please down size that image. I have a huge monitor and still can only get 1/2 of it on the screen.

We go to the Whispering Canyon Cafe every visit to WDW as well. Cant wait till August! :yay:

It's always a "to each his own" world when it comes to WDW food. We like WCC - actually, we like it a lot - and have never had a bad experience, had to have our stomachs pumped, come down with dysentery, etc.

You may love it. Or not. There's only one way to find out.

The Whispering Cayon is located in the Wilderness Lodge. I have stayed at the lodge 3 times and had eaten there every trip at least once. Dont cancell your reservation. Its a great enviroment and place to eat and its just overall a neat fun place to eat ecspically with children!!!! You have to get your ketchup by yelling ketchup and everyone runs towards you with 20,000 bottles of ketchup! :thumbsup2Its really cute and a fun place to be! Now regarding the menu:

They got everything from burgers, to salads, mac and cheese, breadsticks, all kinds of pasta, pizza. So please message me with any questions! I will be mmore than happy to help you! :)

We ate there the last time we were there and my kids love it!!! They still talk about it and it was the first place they requested for this trip. I thought the food was really good. And the desserts were the best of our entire trip!!
