Hi - I'm hoping someone can help me!

One day during our stay we will be going to AK, obviously Right now I have ADR at Tusker House, but WC sounds like so much fun.

My question is this - where is the WL from AK (I'm having a hard time getting a map of WDW that includes the resorts - I must be using the wrong key words in my search)

How would I get there - bus? Do you think it is worth the travel time, because I would need to get back to POR. We will be using Disney transportation.

The Wilderness Lodge is up by Magic Kingdom

You can take a bus from AK to the WL- To get back you will have to do a bus swap

Leaving the WL- You can get a bus to MK, and from MK get on another bus to POR

Thanks - how long do you think it would take to get from AK to WL?

Is there a map that shows the resorts as well as the parks?

I personally have never travelled the route you are asking about....But a really rough guess would be about 20 minutes from AK to the WL-depending on how crowded the traffic is.....and 30-40 minutes to swap buses- It will most probably eat up about an hour worth of travel time.

There is also a boat from WL to MK. Nice enjoyable ride. It's a nice change of pace from the buses!

To do this most efficiently...take the bus to WL from AK for dinner at WCC...it IS worth it! After dinner, walk to the geyser on the other side of the pool, then go left on the boardwalk, follow it around to the boat dock. Take the boat to MK, then take the POR bus home.

The boat ride will be nice and relaxing after dinner.

I'm staying at AKL in may and made a ressie at WC too! I've never eaten there but I have stayed at WL. I will be going to MK that day, then taking the boat from MK to WL to eat.

If you're coming from the hotel the bus transfer route pps outlined is the way to go though.

I forgot to tell you about the boat!

We are doing WCC in Dec- We are going to take the boat both ways...But I think the buses are more streamlined for time...So it just depends on if you want to be rushed, or relaxed

If you decide on WCC, make sure to ask for ketchup....I hear it's in short supply.
