ok.. we are going to Disneyland for my son's 5th birthday. His birthday is October 10th, but I know that school is out for fall break where I live so I thought it would be too busy of a time. My friend that has season passes said that last year the first week of October was way busy because Los Angeles schools were out for a fall break too?? So that leaves me with September 26 through 28th.. is that a good time? The last time I went was first week in march 2 years a go for my other son's 5th birthday and we walked on EVERYTHING. So, that is what I am aiming for again
Thanks!

Do you want to take him to a Halloween Party? There will be ones on the 7th and 11th of October.

If not it will be quieter before the parties start on your September dates. But probably not as quiet as the beginning of March that is super offseason.

We were tehre the first week of October last year, and it was not busy. Most rides were walk on or at max 20 minute wait times... Of course there was record rainfall that week too, lol. (It followed us from Oregon). The first halloween party was the least attended, which meant more charachter interaction and tons of candy!

We went mid October (18-23) in 2009 and never waited more than 5 minutes for a ride (using trip plans from the DIS so we knew which rides to hit first). this way you are in between the Columbus Day/Thanksgiving(Canada) crowds and the Halloween crowds in the last week of the month.

Either one you choose isn't going to be the same as your March trip. Like somebody else said, that is super off season. Personally, I would go the September days and miss the crowds. I love DL in the fall, its still nice and at that point, everyone is just back to school so the crowds are low.

Thanks! I wasn't planning on spending the extra on the Halloween party.. we are going to go to the Discovery Center instead. I think he will be excited enough just to see the Halloween decorations..I am sooo bummed out about Pirate's that was my other sons FAVORITE and we rode it 5 times last time we went! Thanks for your input :)
