DH and I have already returned from our May visit to WDW and already cannot wait to go back again. This past time (as well as others) has not been on a budget and we are back to reality again - we want to use our APs again come February or March, drive down and perhaps stay off-site (for the first time ever!!) just to save some $$$$. We already posted to find out what weeks are good in February but is there any good time to go to WDW in March (especially with school vacations and spring break and such). Also, what recommendations would you have for staying off-site - we have been spoiled by the CBR but we were not too impressed with the Disney transportation and feel we would be able to get around more conveniently with our own vehicle. Any help is (as usual) most appreciated.

We used to live in Florida and our spring break was always Good Friday and then the week after Easter, no matter when Easter fell. Up here our spring break is always the last week of March, no regards to Easter at all. So...this year we had our break several weeks before Easter, next year I think I saw Easter is April 11. We already have our first DVC reservations for March 04! I would suggest that you pick and earlier week in March as a lot of school breaks seem to be closer to Easter, although, I really don't think any week in March would be real bad. I would not choose February at any rate because it would be a little cool for us, we like to swim when it is warmer! As far as hotels, I can't really help you there. We have always stayed in offsite timeshares as we own another t/s which we trade into Orlando. We have stayed onsite twice and LOVE it, but offsite is really not that bad, especially if you have your own car. We almost always drive and we always have a blast no matter where we stay!!

I stayed at WDW twice in March, both times in the 3rd week (my spring break at the time). Since my school was on trimesters and not semesters, the parks were nice and empty, and the weather was BEAUTIFUL. There was some cheerleader competitions going on that week (and so my hotel was packed), but the parks were great. HTH
