Which WDW hotels do celebrities stay in?

But our friend lives in Tampa, so perhaps it was him somebody saw. He would be staying at a moderate as he is just a regular, really nice guy. Not famous or a CEO like his brother. The Christmas card this year really looks like him.

Oh dear, you have just opened a whole other can of worms lol!!!

Seriously though, what a cool family!

Yes, back in the early '90s I saw Adam West at the Studios under these circumstances. Disney did introduce him as Adam West, but I still can't be sure it was him. Maybe some of you who have seen a couple of old Batman episodes know him well enough to confirm or deny.

:lmao:

Thank you for your replies, despite the bout of arguing. I have never run into a celebrity (that I know of) in WDW, & I don't think I would ever approach one if I saw one, but I love hearing about other peoples' run-ins and where the celebrities like to stay :)

Edited to add- I Googled Kenny Chesney so that I'll know what he looks like in case we see him in April. My daughter and her boyfriend like country music so they would probably recognize him.

He looks like a turtle who has lost his shell :thumbsup2

Saw Donny Osmond and his family having dinner but wasn't sure which hotel they were staying at. No one bothered them at all which was nice. Saw Slash and his family on the Disney Magic, and i was one of the few who recognized him. Again it was nice to see them on vacation with their families.

Still no proof it was him. No idea why one person claiming something on the internet has to be right and I have to be wrong.

Is it really that hard for you to believe that even though he is a celebrity he may possibly take vacations to places like WDW!? I believe the OP that they saw him! It's a popular vacation spot!

Geez, what's so hard to understand about staying in a mod? We are DVC members and we stay in a mod sometimes because we like them.
When my DFIL was alive, he, DMIL, and a bunch of their friends went to WDW. All of these people were dry well off. They stayed offsite because they would not pay Disney prices and they flew coach. This was in the late 1980s. Just because people are wealthy, it doesn't mean they will stay in a Disney deluxe resort.

It isn't an issue of wealth; it's an issue of celebrity and the security issues that go with it. A resort without interior hallways is a candy store for rabid fans, and it would be very difficult to keep them away from the celebrity's room. (There are plenty of very wealthy people who are perfectly anonymous on the street to anyone who does not work in the same industry or frequent the same social circle, but best-selling recording artists, film and sports stars seldom fall into that category.)

Even GF has potential issues, because it has separate buildings. Celebrities normally will only stay in the main building, because all of the guest rooms in it are on restricted-access concierge floors.

We were once upgraded from Coronado Springs the the Yacht Club because the Osmonds came in last minute and booked a huge block of rooms. My only time staying Deluxe :)

We'll have to keep an eye out on our VGF trip this feb... maybe we'll run into a celeb at a character breakfast ;)
