Which WDW hotels do celebrities stay in?

When MGM first opened they used to have a Star of the Day at the Theater of the Stars. That person would do a talk or something then be in the parade later in the day.

Yes, back in the early '90s I saw Adam West at the Studios under these circumstances. Disney did introduce him as Adam West, but I still can't be sure it was him. Maybe some of you who have seen a couple of old Batman episodes know him well enough to confirm or deny.

When we were at WDW in 2009 we saw a teenage boy that my DH swears (to this day) that it was Corbin Blue. Sorry if I mangled spelling his name. We were in Epcot at the American pavilion and DH was teasing our 10-yr old niece by saying, "look it's Corbin Blue!" The boy looked over at us and just smiled - he's either heard it MANY times or really was him. That was right in the prime of High School Musical days so who really knows. It has become a big joke in our family that we were that close and didn't even get a picture.

BTW we also saw a dead-ringer for Santa in Frontierland in MK during that same trip. THAT amazed out then 3-yr old daughter!

I saw Santa in October on an ECV in Tomorrow land. I even took a picture. Looked just like him. I told my DH "see, even Santa vacations at Disney!" LOL

We walked past and pointed him out to her, he must have heard and waved at her. Then did some kind of motion that he was watching her...so we took his picture from a distance. Our Santa was spot on and even had the red suspenders holding up his long pants (in July...so we couldn't see his white legs I guess).

I am not a Kenny Chesney fan as I don't enjoy country music, but a quick google search reveals that his favorite things are In and Out Burger, baseball and Walt Disney World.

Nobody said he stayed overnight at POR. He very well could have been there because friends were there, because he was doing publicity, or because he had a deal with Disney. The dates work out, and we have an eye witness saying she saw him. There is more evidence that he WAS there, than wasn't.

Obviously, KC could afford to stay at a deluxe, but maybe he is a genius and decided to stay/visit POR in order to elude obsessive fans who would NEVER believe he would stoop so low. Dang, there may be more to KC than I ever suspected.......

That quote about In-N-Out Burger, WDW...is in reference to the guy that wrote the article, not Kenny Chesney.

This? Maybe we're looking at different things.

I admit that I haven't spent a lot of time on this topic, lol! We might have been finding different sites. That led me to a "Kenny Chesney Likes and Dislikes" page, which led me to another site. My info might be garbled in my head. ;)

The link I posted shows that he is affiliated with Disney at least a little, so it makes sense that he would have to do promotional things.

Geez, what's so hard to understand about staying in a mod? We are DVC members and we stay in a mod sometimes because we like them.
When my DFIL was alive, he, DMIL, and a bunch of their friends went to WDW. All of these people were dry well off. They stayed offsite because they would not pay Disney prices and they flew coach. This was in the late 1980s. Just because people are wealthy, it doesn't mean they will stay in a Disney deluxe resort.

Edited to add- I Googled Kenny Chesney so that I'll know what he looks like in case we see him in April. My daughter and her boyfriend like country music so they would probably recognize him.

That link just brings me a contest page. The only mention I see of WDW is that you can't enter if you're affiliated with Walt Disney. Which would be standard with any contest sponsored by ABC.

I was actually talking this link which was one of the first things I saw when I Googled it yesterday. http://baltimoresportsreport.com/kenny-chesney-red-sox-bandwagon-fan-45822.html

Zach Wilt is the Founding Editor of BaltimoreSportsReport.com and host of the BSR Podcast. He's a loyal Orioles, Ravens and Capitals fan who is obsessed with baseball, loves traveling, In-N-Out Burger and Walt Disney World.

To clarify this is what came up when I Googled it

Kenny Chesney: Tennessee Native, Red Sox Fan - Baltimore Sports ...

by Zach Wilt - in 61 Google+ circles
Oct 30, 2013 - Tonight, Kenny Chesney gave me yet another reason to blindly dislike ... with baseball, loves traveling, In-N-Out Burger and Walt Disney World.

So I thought they were talking about him until I clicked on the link.

I'm getting a kick out of this thread. On the KC matter...maybe he was there to see Yeehaw Bob?

Sorry but I still can't believe it. Huge Kenny fan who sees him 3-4 times a year and just can't imagine he would be at WDW at all let alone a moderate resort. If he was doing an interview poolside he would be in the real islands.

2 years ago we tailgated at one of his shows next to someone who looked JUST like him. Possible it was a look a like.

Was he short? If he was that would help me believe you but I'm sorry, I just can't see it.

He probably stays with his uncle who lives in Tampa. We are friends with his uncle.

This thread is too perfect, just got back home from the World today, Thursday at Magic Kingdom, right in front of the line for the people mover, honey boo boo and Mama. June walked past us, I couldn't believe it. No one saw at first but then everyone started realizing it and taking pictures. They sat on the benches by space mountain and the speedway with sugar bear waiting for some of their party to get off space mountain. They act EXACTLY like they do on the show, my sister talked to June and said she was very nice

A CM told us Brian Urlacher (former Chicago bear) was also there that day, along with many other celebs, unfortunately we were only lucky enough to see honey boo boo

I've seen former President Carter and his family at DHS....they were at the Brown Derby and we were eating nearby. Very nice family.

This thread is priceless. :rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2:

I'm right or else; funny funny girls :rotfl2: :thumbsup2; sleuths; friends of the extended family, stories of great wealth - it has everything. :thumbsup2

Something like the 6 Degrees of Kenny Chesney? ;)

Much better. :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 ;)

Although I do want to connect Bey and the Jay man looking for their room in Country Fair back to Mr. Chesney. :lmao: Someone should start a map. Seriously.

OMG, this is almost as good as the pregnancy from the bouncing backyard castle.

Will you please ask his uncle if KC goes to WDW so that will all finally have the answer? ;)

Lamar, the other Chesney brother, Kenny's other uncle was the CEO of Coke. So, of course the family loves Disney. Not sure our friend knows what his nephew likes. They were not close, although their son did roadie for the famous Chesney for awhile. :rotfl2:

But seriously, the famous Chesney is the spitting image of his uncle, I mean almost clones, albeit 20+ years younger. But our friend lives in Tampa, so perhaps it was him somebody saw. He would be staying at a moderate as he is just a regular, really nice guy. Not famous or a CEO like his brother. The Christmas card this year really looks like him.
