We stayed at Caribbean beach in April and I absolutely loved it, it was my first ever Disney trip.

We are going again in January for my daughter's birthday and I believe we have decided to stay at a value resort because of the price/fun value for a child.

We are looking at AS movies, AS music, or a little mermaid room at AoA.

We will have our own car so waiting for buses is not an issue, and if we are too far from the food court, we will just drive there.

AoA is just a little more expensive than the other 2, but I personally think the theming makes it worth it. It was the only resort that we went and explored while we were at Disney in April.

I've read the values are loud and crowded, but

1) We are going at the end of January (22-29)
2) It's Walt Disney World, it's going to be loud and crowded.

My biggest concern is sleeping, two full size beds won't really cut it, mainly because my feet hang off the end of a full size bed. So I was thinking of letting the wife and daughter sleep in the beds and me bringing an air mattress (if that is allowed).

-What other things do I need to take into consideration?
-What resort (of the Values, not just the 3 mentioned) would you stay at and why?
-Driving wise how long does it take to get to the parks from the all stars and AoA?

You definitely can bring an air mattress along. If you plan on driving I would go with AoA. I think your daughter would love the theme. And you can always drive up front to the food court (as you have your own car) otherwise they are the rooms farthest from the front of the resort.

Yeah, the number 1 complaint I've read about the little mermaid rooms was how far they are from everything.

I've stayed at both All-Star Movies and AoA and I preferred the shop at Movies but got a better room at Art of Animation (over looking Pop and the lake). Non of the rooms are really THAT far away from the food court. A 5 minute walk really and if you drive then you miss on on some of the really cool theming. I didn't find either resort louder around the rooms but because of the set up you would walk past the pool and that is rarely quiet.

I've never driven on property so I can't give you a time estimate but I know it can sometimes be quicker to go to MK via Disney bus because they drop you at the park entrance rather than having to wait to go through the booths and then get the monorail or boat to the park itself

Lol, is that really how short it is? People make it sound like they had to walk 5 miles.

Yeh it's really not that far. It's a lot smaller than CBR where I see you've stayed before (CBR is spread over 200 acres and AoA only 87).

AoA for a girlie, for sure. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them but A LM room would be special and AoA has so much going for it. The walk isn't bad either and very nicely themed.
