We are planning a Feb 4th trip. On the 6th we move to BCV, but for the 4th &5th we would like to stay at one of the vlaue resorts. We have already stayed at POP and would like to try another value resort as it is a goal of mine to stay in every on site resort (LOVED POP!). Any suggestions/information would be helpful. There will be 2 adults and 3 children (6, 4, & 9mo). Thanks! :goodvibes

The All Star Music is nice. They play games by the pool during the day and show movies at night, which I really liked. And all of the rooms were recently redone, which is a plus.

I just got back from a stay at ASmu. I have also stayed at POP and ASmo.

We had a great time at the pool everyday. The music was great and the activities were a lot of fun. I have no idea why they don't do this at all pools. I think in general I am more of a mod girl but we have not a single complaint about any of our value stays.

I would suggest booking a preferred room for any stay longer than a night or two.

I was just on Disney's site and click on the comparison between ASMo and ASMu and it shows ASMu does not have KTTW card or purchase delivery to the resort. Is this right? So at ASMu you have separate room key and park tickets and they won't deliver your purchases from the parks to your room? Anyone know why?

Also, if your room is on the 1st or 2d floor, do you hear the people above you walking (jumping/running) around? Are they very accomodating if you ask for a
3rd foor room?

Thanks

The All Star Music has all of the same benefits of any other Disney value resort. I'm not sure why they are not all listed on the website, but I have stayed at ASMu and we definately had our park tickets on our room keys. And package delivery.

Our room was on the second floor and we did here a little noise from those above us. Probably because they checked in late(we heard them) and all took showers. Heard that too.

I've stayed at all the value resorts.

Pop is our favorite with ASsp being the runner up. The bus stops there first (both drop off and pick up) or at least it used to. When we stayed at ASmo we often were stuck with standing room only. Another draw back to All Stars is one bus shared between 3 hotels. I remember coming back from MK to Pop one night and I was shocked to see that TWO queue lines had been reserved for pop with only one for all stars....the difference? No wait!

Our least favorite is ASmu just because of the layout. If you don't book a preferred room you can tack on an extra mile walk back to your room (or at least that's how it feels after a long day in the parks).

We only stayed at ASsp one night but it seemed quieter and more laid back. I've heard different reports on here so I guess it depends on when you go. You always hear about school groups staying at ASsp but we ran into a LARGE obnoxious group at Music...there was some sort of band competition going on the week we stayed. Nothing like screaming preteens running past your hotel door at all hours of the night. And don't even get me started on the mob that formed in the pools.

And yes...they are accommodating as they can be on floor location. The CM called her boss twice to get us a room on a 2nd floor (away from the ground noise and not too high of a climb) in the themed section we wanted. It all depends on whats available when you check in.

I've stayed at all the Values and POP would definitely be my first choice!

I'm torn...We really wanted to try a different value, but from what I am reading maybe we should go back to POP. We stayed at POP over the Christmas holiday 3 years ago, and it was GREAT! They put us in a room right by the HD pool (a few second walk from the main area). We never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus to anywhere. At Wilderness Lodge we waited a lot longer for the bus compared to POP.
I guess that is my main concern, the bus. So ASmo shares a bus with the other two but POP does not share?
Also, will it matter since we will be there Feb 4th & 5th and "not a busy time"?
:confused3

The Pop doesn't share a bus stop with any other resort, while the All Star Resorts SOMETIMES share. In my experience the All Stars have their own busses far more often than they share.

I think the fact that the All Stars sometimes share is blown way out of proportion. The resorts are right next door to each other, not even a 5 minute walk away from each other. It does not add that much time to your trip when you do share a bus between resorts. The only bad thing would be that the Movies is the last stop when the 3 All Stars do share, so that may make it harder to get a seat.

Keep in mind too that the Pop is much bigger than any All Star resort, so you have more people trying to get on the busses at the Pop than you do at the All Stars.

Another thing to think about is that the Movies resort hasn't been thru a refurb, while the Sports and Music both have. Not that the Movies is falling down, but the rooms at the Sports and Music are bound to be fresher looking.

I've been to them all. Never had any problems with any value. Since you have been to POP I would try Music or Sports. Do you have boys? They might like Sports and it is the first stop on the bus route. Music is great too... we had a great time there. :goodvibes

My favorite is POP...it is quite a lovely resort and was perfect for us college kids who don't have much money :)
