Trying to get a handle on which towncar company to recommend to my parents...please select the towncar company you would be most likely to recommend. Feel free to post a comment on why.

Thanks.

zulaya,

You might think about posting a second poll, which towncar company(ies) would you not recommend...its the proportion of satisfied customers to unsatisfied customers you need to look at.

While I have not used them, I voted for Fl Tours. I have heard nothing but good things about them and they are a DIS sponser.
I have seen one of their cars and one driver. The car was immaculate and the driver looked exceptionally professional.
For me, that spoke reams for the company. I also like their website, easy to negotiate and everything is there in plain English, nothing hidden ANYWHERE!!!

Cartier!! We booked them for our cruise earlier this year and have them booked for our upcoming trip to WDW. I can't say enough about them and they have a lot of positive reviews on this board. Good luck!

Hi Zulaya,

I helped do some of the towncar research for the Unofficial Guide. For what it's worth, Tiffany has a pretty good reputation with the valets at many of the WDW resorts. I've used them many times without trouble, and their rates are competitive.

I'm checking out some other towncar services next week. Let me know if you'd like more information.

Sincerely,

Len

We used Quicksilver tours and transportation in October and found them 1st class.

got my vote! We booked them in Dec (first time using towncar service) they were very prompt, cars were immaculate and non-smelling :)

Andy always replied to my emails the same day, even calling me once when there was confusion with our flights.

They upgraded us to a limo van on the pickup to Poly, my DDs loved watching Finding Nemo in this luxury van on the way to WDW!!

Thanks Andy!

Can't say enough good things about Andy and the FL TOUR experience. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I'm retired from the luxury transportation business in Orlando, my suggestion is go with an experienced company. Companies that have earned a good reputation, through many years of experience, they should be the ones logically, naturally, considered. I know these people below have over 10 years experience, some around 20 years.

All the companies below have towncars:

Carey
Starline
Trans Orlando
GNS Perfect
L&M

I'm sure you can submit any of the above names to any search engine (Yahoo, Google, etc.), to find their websites.

What I've noticed on this message board, by some of the complaints, ...you get what you pay for. If you are seeking only the cheapest, it's your vacation...

I'm just trying to help.

Happy New Year!

I agree, if you pick the cheapest towncar service in most cases you get the lowest quality. They can't keep quality chauffeurs because of what they pay them. They have to hire any warm body they can find to do the work. I travel to Disney World on business trips about 5-7 times a year. I've found the normal towncar rate from the Orlando airport to Disney is $55.00 + tip, that's for a reputable, dependable, company. Hosp001, you nailed it right on, a company on your list is one I have been using over a dozen times, and will remain using.

I hope more people will start complaint threads in this forum about bad experiences, so the bad companies will be noticed.

I sure know what you are talking about, and agree 100%, my driver (chauffeur) told me one those cheap companies sent an email to other Orlando transportation companies (late one night) asking for help picking up their customers for the following morning. The rates were to low, it was a joke among the other transportation companies. I wonder how many people were left at their hotels without transportation?

I understand the above, trust me, I'm a travel agent, I deal with this stuff everyday.

We use Trans Van for our family, they also have towncars, we use their towncars for smaller number of passengers. They are very dependable, honest, reputable.. We have been using them for many years.
