Which tower is best at DLH?

I have booked a standard room at DLH for October, I just couldn't afford to stretch for a view room on this trip. Although there's a good chance I'll kick myself once I'm there right....

Anyway, I'm wondering if it's better in one tower than another, even with a standard room? I know there is a Dream tower, but I don't know the other ones and I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask to be in a specific tower, if it helps great, if not well no harm asking.

I would love your thoughts.

I have also heard of people asking for a free upgrade on check in. I'm not expecting this to work but would love to hear other's stories if they tried this and what happened.

I've stayed in the Dreams and the Wonder tower.

To me, the Dreams tower standard rooms seemed MUCH bigger than the Wonder tower standard rooms, and the Dreams tower was closer to DTD than the Wonder tower.

Haven't stayed in the Magic but if I had to choose between Dreams and Wonder, I would DEFINITELY choose Dreams.

You'll still have an awesome time regardless of where you're at! It's Disneyland!:cool1:

I thought I had read somewhere that Dreams was a nicer tower. Thanks for the info, and you are so right, we will definitely still have a nice time.

I don't know when they changed the names of the towers but when we were there we stayed in what used to be the Marina tower, the building that contains the lobby. We had a parking lot view but could see the fireworks, I could even lie in bed and watch them. I also like this building because it has the shops and it connects to Goofy's Kitchen without leaving the building.

The Marina Tower is now the Magic Tower. That's where my bf and I stayed this May. I really liked it, but it was the first time either one of us had stayed in the hotel, and we never even stepped inside any of the other towers. We were on the 2nd floor (which was so nice), and we had a pretty decent view. We could see part of the pool, but it was a standard view room. I did love how it had the shops, and there was such easy access to the bell desk. We never went to Goofy's Kitchen, but we did have the pleasure of seeing Goofy in the lobby one day. :)

I have read many great things about the Dreams Tower, but the Magic Tower will always be special to me.

Personally, comparing Wonder and Dreams, I really like Dreams. Keep in mind though that they are going to start refurbing it at the end of August and a vertical half of the Dreams tower will be in process of refurb. You might want to take this in to account when you make your request.
