Which to do first at MGM?

Playhouse Disney or Little Mermaid? DDs aged 4 and 1.5 so we want to see them both, but looking at sampled times, and opinions and all that, I'm getting confused which is better to do first. I think Playhouse Disney starts earlier, but there are fastpasses for Mermaid? what to do?

Get a FP for Mermaid and do Playhouse Disney first. The good news is that these attractions are right across from one another. JMO.

I am going to offer the opposite opinion for this reason. Right at the time Voyage of the Little Mermaid lets out, the doors for Playhouse Disney open, and unless you are there on one of the holiday periods that are incredibly crowded, you will get into the show without having to wait in line.

We usually go to the first show of Ariel, where you don't usually need a Fastpass, then go straight across the plaza to Playhouse Disney.

When we went in September the first show was Playhouse disney then Mermaid. No problem getting in either. Got front and center for Playhouse then when it let out walked across the way to Mermaid and got a good seat. They time it well to go from one show to the other. Didn't need a FP for the first show of Mermaid.

Mermaid because the first showing of Playhouse isn't until a bit later in the morning whereas the first showing of Mermaid is right near park opening time
