WHICH STUDIO??

So Beach Club Villas does not have studios available at the end of July -
My choices are: Polynesian Standard Studio
or Bay Lake Studio
or Boardwalk Studio
Which would you pick and why?
We have stayed at BLT and BWV on previous visits.

I believe Poly are the largest of those three choices, and Poly studios also have two showers (bathtub and separate shower).

Poly is the largest. BLT is the smallest DVC studio.

Poly's studios are the biggest. Poly and bwv have the Murphy beds. I know bwv studios are tight, not sure about BLT but I think it is too.

BWV square footage is larger than BLT.

Because of the layout of the BLT studios with the galley kitchenette the living area is even smaller than it would have otherwise been. However, it is a layout I like since they moved the bathroom sink out of the kitchenette and into the bathroom.

Were you looking at BCV for location, SAB or trying a different resort?

If you want location, definitely BWV. Poly for trying a different resort.
I have heard from many and my daughter, BLT the studios are really tiny.

That is simply not true. BLT studios are 339 square feet. Value resorts, including All Stars and POP are 260 square feet.

Actually a BLT studio is larger as it is 339 square feet and the Value resort rooms are 260 square feet.

I love the galley 'kitchenette' in BLT studios. I even use it as my area for putting on makeup, dressing, etc.
Such nice shelving. It's definitely my DH's favorite studio also.

I think it depends on how many people you're putting into BLT, though.

2 adults? It's fine.

2 adults and a pack-and-play? Sure.

4 adults? Oh god no.

We had 2 adults and 2 kids and it was fine. It kinda feels like a traditional hotel room but with a great kitchen area.

Here would be my reasons for saying at each, but upfront, I have never stayed in BLT or Poly studios, so can't speak to the sizing. The proximity to parks would be my draw
BWV simply for convenience to 2 parks
Poly for convenience to monorail(you can walk to TTC which allows a little quicker access to Epcot)merits a quick ride to MK
BLT for 10 min walk to MK

Me personally, and I own BWV pts, I would choose BLT. Here is why...in addition to the mentioned above, I also like the closeness via monorail and boat to POLY, GF, WL and FW, which each have some unique restaurants. Plus, Contemporary, just a walk away, has the same, and wonderful other amenities to boot.

If not, BWV is my next choice, for reasons mentioned, plus a few good restaurants in walking distance around BW area, BC, YC and Swan and Dolphin. And I take advantage of being close to Epcot for slipping in for meals.

Poly, 3rd choice, don't get me wrong, I love the feel of the place, and Kona and Ohana help to make it better, but its still not at top of list

Bay Lake would be my choice, and waitlist Beach Club. Chances are you will get the Beach Club room by then. If not, Bay Lake is a fantastic resort. Spacious rooms, great pool, near everything (like MK park,monorail, etc.), and excellent dining options at both Grand Floridian and Contemporary resorts.

Bwv for Hollywood/Epcot.
Poly for mk and the salt water pool.

I wouldn't do blt studio and I own there.

I agree. My answer would depend on how many adults/children you have. For a couple, any would work. With 4 adults, I would do Poly. I stayed in a Poly studio last May with 2 friends. I had only stayed at the Poly once before, in 1996 and did not like it. But I wanted to try out the studios so I gave it another try. I really liked the resort! The location is great, walk to the TTC for the monorail to MK or Epcot. I liked the quick service, I don't even remember that from 1996. Trader Sams is a blast!

BLT 1BR, 2BR and GVs are spacious.

Studios less so. Some people, as previously stated, are fans of the layout. But I think it depends how many people you're doing, how they feel about sharing two sleep surfaces, and how lightly you pack.

I think they're nice if you don't have to fold out the couch.

Poly really is bigger. Still had to find a spot for the table when we folded out the couch, though, and we used part of the bathroom for luggage storage.
