Which store for engraved Mickey ears?

I'd like to know right away which shop engraves the Mickey ear hats. My 10 yr old will want them right away and I know I can get them anywhere and take them to the engraving shop but I'd like to just go right there. The less shops the better! LOL!

There are several at WDW.

I'll mention "The Chapeau" just inside MK. (#25 on the map below.)

IMO The Chapeau is the best. They have the most selection & different font selections. We get at least 1 set of ears on each of our trips.

Isn't there another engraver spot inside building #22...if you enter in through the stroller/wheelchair ramp on the right? I thought I saw one there when I was there in January.

I think The Chapeau is the only one in that area. I agree with the other posters that this is your best bet.

You can also get them embroidered at DTD inside the Christmas shop (towards the very back).

How much are the ears, with embroidery? We didn't get any last trip and I'm thinking I'd like to treat DD and her friend to ears this time around (so they don't have to spend their own spending money on them.)

Sorry to hijack the thread, how long does this take? We are taking 4 kids, and think it may be better timewise to go to DTD on arrival day for this rather then waste park time, thoughts?

You can do that if you like.

They used to (maybe still do) take your hat and your name and do the embroidery after you have left the shop, allowing you to come back later to pick up your completed ears.

How long do you have to leave the ears to get the name put on? Or do they do it immediately??

They used to do it immediately when my older kids got them.

I remember when they personalized them right in front of you with the old fashioned sewing machine, I thought it was super magical. Now, you do get a fun choice of fonts, but you do have to wait. I have been there at times when it took minutes, and other times when it took an hour and a half, just depends on volume.

Yes there is a hat shop and embroidery place in #22. That is actually at the gift shop that the princess and Minnie/Mickey meet and greet empty out into.

The hat area is closer to the exit door. There were 3 different choices in fonts.

That is where we got my YDD's ears this last trip.

Yes they have a great variety. Definitely check across the street at the Emporium as well.

We bought three ears last week a the shop at Downtown Disney. It was our first stop when we got off the bus. We picked them up on our way back to the bus shortly before closing. I don't know the price as I didn't pay.
