Does anyone know which side of ship has the best view for the Baja cruise that departs from San Diego and has ports of call at Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas? I'm assuming that during sailing, there's not much to see, so the only real views are of the Mexican towns when docked at those ports of call, correct?

We had a port side balcony during our October 2015 San Diego to Cabo Wonder cruise. I do remember seeing the arch at times in Cabo, but the ship will rotate a bit with no dock to be tied to. Either side of the ship has a good view of various parts of Cabo. I do not remember the view on our last cruise while docked in Ensenada, since I have been there so many times. Typically, your view in Ensenada will also depend on which dock it docks at (when there are two ships docked). You either look at the harbor or the town in the distance. I have no preference in Ensenada. So, maybe a port side cabin would be my first choice but I do not think it is that big a deal on this itinerary. The cruise we booked for October 2017, we will be on the opposite side (starboard).

In October port side had the amazing view when we got in. But later the boat rotates. In Ensenada, port side faced the port/city.

For our October 2017, I booked port side again!
