Which should we choose? Dolfin or POFQ

Both will be about the same price. Which would be best. We have to two girls 11 and 18. All opinions welcome.

I am a huge fan of POR, but for kids the ages of yours I think I'd actually go for the Dolphin. Rooms and bathrooms are definitely larger and the Grotto pool, shared by Swan/Dolphin is huge and nice for older crowds. Also, I think older kids would love being located right by the Boardwalk where there is so much to do (eating, shopping, bikes, ESPN Zone, etc.). It's also nice to have transportation options to the parks beyond the buses.

While I have never stayed at either of these resorts, my vote would be the Dolphin as you can walk (or take the boat) to both Epcot and MGM. You also have the Boardwalk at your front door for eating, shopping and entertainment.

If you are able to get a discounted room at the Dolphin that would run you about the same price as a rack rate room at any of the Disney moderates I would go with the Dolphin. The location and services provided at the Dolphin far surpass the Disney moderates.

Dolphin is considered a Deluxe 4 star resort. It is right next to Beach Club/Yacht Club, but soooo much cheaper esp. if you get a good discount. We stayed there last summer and loved being able to easily go back and forth from Epcot and MGM. We also could see Tower of Terror from our room. The bus service to MK and AK was very good too. The Grotto pool at the Dolphin is very fun.

The Dolphin for sure if it is the same price as POR. I would take a deluxe over a moderate for the same price anytime.

We stayed at both resorts in Sept. 03, the Dolphin for 4 days and PO for 4 days. Wish we had stayed at the Dolphin all 8. Loved the Heavenly Beds, transportation, and the atmosphere was better at the Dolphin. Your dinning choices will be better also. We hope to stay here again soon.
