Ok,

This is a "between our annual trip" trip because we have APs and DVC!!!

Either May 28 (Friday) through June 2 (Wednesday) or the last weekend in August.

We are already going the first week of December and then next October (2004)! I'm used to cooler and less busy times.

I know these times will be hot and busier. This trip would be like a quick get away and my DH will stay behind and work and watch the dogs. It would be me and my DD's ages 4 and 7 (8 on June 2). We'd take it easier than usual and enjoy the resort more too.

Which time would you do for 5 nights? Heat wise and crowd wise??

Airfare is a major factor too. So far May/June is $200 each from Boston non-stop. I haven't got a clue what August airfare looks like. Hopefully about the same??

Thanks for any advice!

I think I would shoot for end of may beginning of june

we were there june 8th to 15th this year and it was not as crowddas I would have expected due to schools on th east coast and elsewhere remaining open longer due to to many snow days in the winter

I would say end of May/beginning of June!!!
not many schools are out yet in the North and East and crowds aren't bad! we go the first 2 weeks of June and love it! :)

The school holidays in England don't start until end of July to September, therefore I would also suggets to go before then.

When do the school holidays in Florida start - is it the same for all of America or is each state different?

Most American schools let out for the summer months anywhere from the end of May to the beginning of June. It actually depends on the school district you live in. I cannot speak for Florida schools, but most of the schools in Kansas let out right near the end of May.

I would vote for August. Southern schools usually start back in mid-August. The crowds are thinning by then. The first week-end in June is Gay Week in Orlando and brings in quite a crowd. We like the end of August or first of September. The end of May is fine but if it goes in to June or through Memorial Day then it can be crowded.
