Which sections at Vistana R. have sleep 8?

I have a map in front of me and I have info written down on it from these boards, but I can't seem to get a grasp on which sections have the guaranteed sleep 8.

On Skyauction, you can pay $150 more to be guaranteed the sleep 8. We stayed in one of these last Sept. in the Lake section. I would like one like that again because it has 2 doubles in the second bedroom and we would have 7 or 8 people.

I called Vistana directly and the gal listed every section except Falls and Cascades. First, I thought, being the newest, that the Cascades section DID have sleep 8 but maybe I'm wrong. Second, she even told me about 50 units in the Courts section that are townhouses that sleep 8..........I've never heard any talk on here about those......anyone know anything??

We will be checking in on a Saturday.......so that's Palms, Courts, Springs, Lakes, Fountains and Cascades. I really don't want Palms because there is no pool that is close to it and ofcourse, with it's reputation, I don't want Courts.

What do you think my chances would be of getting Springs, Lakes, Fountains or Cascades?.................that's, ofcourse, if all this info is correct.........can someone help?

Here are the max occupancies for 2BRs in each section, from oldest to newest, with check-in days for weekly stays:

Courts - Saturday - 6 or 8 (depending on loft)
Falls - Sunday - 6
Spas - Friday - 8
Palms - Fri/Sat/Sun - 8
Springs - Fri/Sat/Sun - 8
Fountains 1 - Fri/Sat/Sun - 8
Fountains 2 - Fri/Sat/Sun - 8
Lakes - Fri/Sat/Sun - 8
Cascades- Fri/Sat/Sun - 8

A unit with a maximum occupancy of 6 could be in one of the oldest sections (Courts or Falls) or they are simply leaving their options for room assignment wide open until the last minute.

As I've understood it, the Courts units which are all on one floor sleep 6 and the ones which are two levels sleep 8 due to a loft area on the upper level.

Courts is the only section that could be a sleeps-6 with a Saturday check-in. As for its reputation, these units are supposedly in good shape inside these days and the sleeps-8's in Courts are very spacious. They just don't have jacuzzi tubs and they're the least attractive outside. But they have an excellent location, convenient to a variety of nice pools, game rooms, mini-golf, the store, outdoor sports, etc.

Just a thought, you could register online for their Diamond Lane Check-in (highly recommended) and in the comments section, request your first, second and third section preferences as well as letting them know in a positive way that your "party of 7-8 people" is really looking forward to your vacation at Vistana! I think they'd try to accommodate you.
