Which Rides have more than 1 fp tap point?

I usually don't know for sure that I won't use it. It's always a good idea to have a reservation just in case.

Worst case, if you cancel it, someone else will be able to pick it up through the MDE experience... and it's just a nice last minute surprise for them. The effect is exactly the same. But of course, you don't get to enjoy that personal delight of handing another human being a paper Fastpass.
Especially FOP. My husband wants me to ride it so badly but if there is anyone who has ever suffered motion sickness you understand my reluctance. If I feel I can do it I better have a fp for it. Even riding ToT. It’s my favorite ride but everything has to align in order for me to be able to ride it. If I have a day I don’t feel 100% I just can’t.

Just curious, but why would you make a FP+ if you know you won't use it?
Several reasons. One, you plan to use it and change your mind.
With the tiered system, you must use all 3 before you can get another TIer 1 FP. Either use it, tap it, or let it expire (the least consistant option).

So if the first one is tapped for someone not riding, is that not good enough for it to show as them having used it?

I see more second FP tap stations open when there are large crowds. So it seems to vary. I was there last week and many of the rides had the 2nd FP tap station open.

I remember using the 2nd tap at Buzz, TSMM, Frozen Ever After, 7DMT, Peter Pan. As others have said, a lot of the rides have them but they are sometimes covered.

It's much easier just to cancel the FP and give someone in the park a nice surprise when it pops up available. If the time window hasn't opened, even if it's 1 minute, you can cancel. There are lots of rides that can have a 2nd checkpoint and if they got caught at the 2nd checkpoint, no one is going to believe they weren't line cutting.

I'm curious about Ladyfish's question as well. We have 4 FP+ for FOP. I have a feeling my daughter won't ride it though she says she wants to. So,

1) if she taps in but decides in the line-up to back out, would the FP+ system considered it used or does it have to be tapped a 2nd time if there's two stations?

2) So if the time window has opened, a person cannot cancel their fastpast?

OP -> I'm really glad you asked this question! I didn't know there are second FP tap stations. I planned on giving my FP for Splash Mountain to my son so I had better just give him my card (we won't have bands).

1a) Yes.
1b) No.
2) I don't know. Scanning in would make "sure."
3) Yes.

My daughter was there last week and I was searching fp's for her here at home ( just an aside, but I would love to have that done for me when I'm there!!! lol) . If she let one expire without tapping in, I could not cancel it. I had lots of issues with that and wasn't aware until then that it could be a problem. I was able to modify it to another FP, but I couldn't cancel it. I'm assuming the skipped FP would stay on her MDE until the next FP time opened, but never tracked that. Whether that's normal or just a glitch I was experiencing, I don't know.

Just curious, but why would you make a FP+ if you know you won't use it?

We made a couple for our arrival day at DHS. With how the tiering is now you can only fastpass one worthwhile attraction, so we scheduled two for things we don't care about early in the day that we'll miss so we'll be able to get tier 1s as a fourth FP+ faster.

All the major rides or just some of them? I have a few fps I will not use because I will be with DH and SIL but won't be riding them. I would love (CMs permitting) to give them to someone else, rather than tap them and not ride. I have motion sickness and there are several attractions I will not ride. I know 7DMT has 1 at the beginning and 1 further in, but anything else come to mind?
If there is a ride you do not want to use your FP for and want to give it to someone in your group just give that person your MB or card ( you can get an extra one at GR)!for them to use.

If you want to give it to a stranger I would just tell the CM at the FP line just say I do not feel like riding this ride and would like to create some magic for another guest they can have you check in and if their are two check point they can make it so the new guest can do the second check point.

My kids and I had extra non-specific fast passes as we were leaving the park. We tapped a bunch of people onto Everest.

Thanks for this info! I wasn't aware of the "you must use all 3 before you can get another Tier1" requirement.

I have read conflicting info on this. I have read you have to have used all three before andother T1 but I have also seen you can book another after using your one and only T1.

You may find the FP FAQ and FP FAQ ADDENDUM helpful. They both address this on their first pages. They are the definitive sources on basic FP info, and anything conflicting with them is almost certainly wrong.

Thank you! I think I will just book my two T2 FPs and consider it better safe than sorry. Tx for the info.

And you can just cancel them for those not riding before the window and someone else will be able to pick them up.
It's just 2 of us, and we do cancel as soon as we decide to change our plans. I know they'll usually be snapped up in a heartbeat, but you don't get that satisfaction of sprinkling a bit of pixie dust onto somebody's day and seeing their face just light up.
