i know there is an upcharge for this time period but where does it apply? i heard only the buffets. which are considered buffets?

theres a upcharge at some restaurants during the period from memorial day to july 4th. ADR person mentioned it. I think it applies to buffets and some other things. $4 upchg per person even if on the DDP... they consider it holiday period....

How did I flippin' miss this!

The holiday upcharge is now the whole 5-6 weeks from Memorial Day to 4th of July!!!!!!

Right now, I'm not planning to be there, but holy freakin' cow! I know June is busier, but I didn't think it was that busy to warrant this nickel-and-dime activity.

And before you panic and get the DDP, be sure to run the numbers and make sure it's worth it. No offense, but that may be the type of action Disney is hoping to provoke by doing this.

Am I understanding this correctly -- since I am on the DDP, my meal will be paid for, but I still have to pay tip and an additional $4 per person per meal?

I Normally go in June, and have not seen this, but I have noticed an extta dollar to the buffet type meals.

If they are doing that, I would think to offset the new plans for DDP and with many having the DDE card.
