Which restaurant on property has the best Scrapple?

Are you from Delaware by chance? Those are the only people I know who would ask about Scrapple, lol! (We lived there for a time, actually loved the lower part of the state, but were amazed by their fondness for scrapple.)

Yeah am originally from S Jersey outside Philly and Mom's family from Delaware. They ate all the time so we would have it when "down home" or at my Grandmother's. My Stepdad from Camden but parents from further south grew up on (it was cheap "meat") and still eats it. I actually have a block in my fridge he gave me ..... been there awhile.

Scrapple aka Scraps aka as we joke (because it is) ... all the stuff that fell on the floor they gather up and grind it up. Have to cook it crispy so you don't know when you've hit bone or tendons. Disney is never ever going to serve scrapple. But Taylor Pork Roll would be great, except it is expensive and Disney won't do that either for a quick serve sandwich.

I’m from Pennsylvania aka the home of scrapple
My grandmother made the best scrapple. We're originally from MD, but my grandmother was from Jacksonville FL and she brought it with her to MD. I haven't tried what you can get down here in Publix but I might and see how it is.

I currently live in GA but am from PA. If there were a breakfast plate with scrapple somewhere at Disney I would be kicking old ladies out of my way to get some. Same with fried mush, although I do make that myself.

"If you lived in Bridgeville, you'd be home by now!"

A sign any of us from the area/Delmarva will recognize...home of the Apple Scrapple festival! :smooth:

My folks live in the Ft. Myers area, I have to take scrapple down to them anytime I visit. And soft shells.

And Punkin Chunkin, lol! Scrapple, peaches, blue hens, and Punkin Chunkin. I grew to love the quirky little First State.

I'm not sure of the specifics (cause to be honest, if I want to see rednecks launching pumpkins from homemade trebuchets, I'll step outside on my porch to see what the kids are getting into...) but I think it's been moved to the mid-west, at least the 'championships'.

I have yet to see a blue hen, outside of U of DE campus signage, and I do a fair bit of work for Big Chicken :rotfl2:

Big in PA/NJ/and northern Delaware

Dutch thing.

Six of us here in this South Jersey household. We can hear the post-game fireworks from Citizen's Bank Park and see the downtown Philly skyline from my local shopping center parking lot (where there's a land elevation). I have to cook up a block of scrapple the size of one of the accent pillows on your sofa and even then, they fight over it.

I'm also from South Jersey right outside of Philly, and scrapple and creamed chip beef often graced our breakfast and sometimes even dinner table. Could be why I'm vegetarian now. :P

Guess my Mom hated it growing up because she never made it, we had to go "down home" to see it served. What she served was SPAM, for dinner, and I hate it as well. We all give it to Stepdad every year for Christmas and insist he doesn't share.

Health food scrapple IS NOT! That's for sure!
