Which resorts to view Christmas decorations?

I am leaving in two days and getting a bit frantic. It is our first time traveling near Christmas, and from reading the boards I thought it would be fun to visit the various resorts to see the decorations. But I thought I'd remember which were recommended, and now I can't. :earseek:

We're going to be in Yacht Club, so of course we'll go there and Beach Club and Boardwalk. Then I know to go to Grand Floridian. We'll be at Polynesian for lunch one day. At AKL for dinner and I know to look around there.

But what others should we make a point of visiting? We won't have a car so will need to use Disney transportation.

Thank you!

We just returned from WDW on Sunday. We had dinner last week at the Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge and the lobby was incredible. They have a Christmas tree in the lobby that is something like five stories high. It was one of the most beautifully decorated-for-Christmas places I've been. Without a car, it might be tough to get there, but, if you are traveling with kids, dinner at the Whispering Canyon is fabulous!

Thank you! This is the kind of information I was hoping for. There are just the two of us adults.

If it is just the two of you, I have heard that Artists Point at Wilderness Lodge is one of the best restaurants at WDW--combined with the Chirstmas decorations and a walk out on the dock on the lake after dark and you have a beautiful evening! Have a great vacation!

hotel hopped to see the Christmas decorations! We were really glad we did it but it did take a lot of planning. Given where you are staying - that helps a lot! We really liked the decorations at the Beach & Yacht Club and were very impressed with the Boardwalk lobby. I do get them mixed up - but you can walk to it - the Swan and Dolphin. One didn't have that much in their lobby (I think it was the Swan) but since you are there you might as well look but the other had a GIANT tree with a train running around it. It was well worth seeing.
Given all your planned trips to AKL and Grand Floridian, and Polynesian and with adding Wilderness Lodge - I think you will cover the highlights! We loved the gingerbread house and lobby at Grand Floridian - they have awesome chocolate with the Grand Floridian hotel "carved" into the box and it was all edible! Highly recommend!
We had no problems with the transportation system. We also like using the "back" entrance to Epcot! Have fun! (now a Florida native and don't get there near enough!) :earsboy:

When we stay at WL, we really enjoy their decorations. Then we take the CR boat and hop over to Contemporary to view theirs. Then onto the Monorail to stop at Poly and GR. It is a great trip.

But don't forget the Epcot resorts. We have lunch at ESPN then view the Boardwalk, Beach and Yacht Clubs.

We are two adults who love it at Disney at Christmas time. :sunny:
