Which resorts have waiting lists for contracts currently?

I believe I've recently read on this forum that BWV and VWL have waitlists for contracts. Can anyone tell mw if the other "classic" resorts have waitlists too? I know this is UY dependent. I am just curious after the lastest webcast offer whether or not they have points available at all the resorts.

Keep in mind wait list depend on the UY and points desired.

For example, DVD may have enough points to fill a 50 point Feb UY contract at a resort. However, they may not have enough points to fill a 200 point Feb UY contract at the same resort.
When we were aboard the Dream in January, a DVC CM said BLT had a wait list for all but 2 of the UYs. I suspect they could fill smaller contracts, but anyone wanting 200+ points may have been put on a wait list.

Interesting. I'm wondering why spend the time and money to highlight the "classic" resorts when people will be told there is a waitlist when they call. I understand the bottom line is sales, even if they are small in numbers, matter, but seems like they would sell these without the webcast.

SSR has a wait list also. We added on over the summer and our guide said there was a wait list on bigger contracts but he had the smaller number we wanted available. He also said the SSR was nearly sold out and it wasn't sales pressure talk. We've added on twice and he knows we will be back lol

Maybe to put themselves in a position to ROFR a bunch of cheap contacts and resell them at full price? A wait list for buying points is a ROFR shopping list for Disney.

Bingo! Makes perfect business sense. And, what better way to shrink the resales market. Once supply is dramatically reduced, there will be no choice but to buy direct.

BCV seems to almost always have a wait list - at least for some use years. We have been on the waitlist twice and bougt just about the last of their available points the last time we called and there wasn't a waitlist.

I feel like this is already being done. Probably not to the scale you are suggesting but BCV has a much higher incident rate of ROFR than the other resorts. I would guess that is because it is a smaller property and in high demand.

It blows my mind people are on wait list to buy resorts at a premium when you can find a contract resale, buy now , save more than half then buying direct. It's not worth to use for a cruise or the other collections since the point value is over the moon. I will never regret resale 120+ a point compared to the 59$ I paid just common sense

I have bought many points via resale, but what I am looking for is hard to find...small contract, hard to find UY. I need some pixie dust.

wonder why if they have this many wait list - why is letting so many of these go thru ROFR - you would think they would be buying more?
