DBBN... what do you mean by the corner 2 bedroom units at the VWL? Am I missing something here? We do want a tree in our room. We stayed on the 5th floor this past summer halfway down the long hall facing the woods.
What I mean by this is...back in August of 2001 we stayed in a 2 bdrm at VWL for 2 days before a
DCL cruise and for 2 days after (My wife and I took 2 of our nieces on their first cruise). The first 2 days we were assigned a room just like the one you stayed in. It was just like the floor plan depicts on page 122 of the new guidebook. Much like the typical 2 bdrm units at BCV and BWV. Very nice but small. We own at OKW and have been spoiled by the size of 1 & 2 bdrm units there.
BUT...after the cruise we were assigned room 4528. This is one of the rooms that exit in the hallway that overlooks the lobby. Meaning if you look over the railing in the hallway you would see the 3rd and 2nd floors below you all the way to the first floor. This particular room overlooks the wooded area at the front of the resort. It was HUGE compared to the cookie cutter rooms that line the long hallways. The bedrooms appeared to be sized much like all the other bedrooms at the villas but the living room appeared maybe twice the size. Huge as in OKW size...I didn't measure it but it may very well be LARGER than the OKW 2 bdrm units. As far as I can tell there are at least 6 of these huge 2 bdrm units...they are 2528, 3528 and 4528 all with views of the front of the resort. Rooms 2519, 3519 and 4519 all with views of the pool.
I call them the corner 2 bdrms because that's where they are. Page 116 of the guidebook shows what I mean. They are the rooms at the corner of the buliding (stone facade) closest to the walkway that leads to the pool.
I'd say room 4519 would be perfect...huge, high floor with a pool view, close to the elevators, close to the pool, the front exit even the health club. Just perfect.
Almost forgot...and big enough for a christmas tree.
