Which resort is...

the most romantic? Which rooms would you recommend and why? Looking for a future anniversary stay and thought I'd post here and in the Wedding/Honeymoon section to see who can help. Thanks!

It all depends on what you like. I love the Boardwalk. If you like rustic go to the WL, but some people swear by the Polynesian. But if you're going for an anniversary be sure to let EVERYONE know there . Hubby and I went to GF for anniversary one year. They had some lovely little surprises for us (our agent put anniversary on our res). Also we ate at the CA grille at the Contemporary and they made a really nice dessert for us.

We had our honeymoon, 1st anniversary and will be spending our 2nd anniversary at the GF. It is amazing. They go above and beyond the call of duty to make your special days magical. We got upgraded to a honeymoon suite in the RPC (main building concierge) and were treated to champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. On top of that, the resort itself is BEAUTIFUL!!!

We were at the YC in June and I have to say I was surprised at how romantic I found it to be. (of course DH and I were travelling w/2 teens..so no romance for us! )

Our room looked out over the marina and DH and I spent many evenings on the balcony watching the people coming and going. The view across to the Boardwalk is lovely at night with everything lit up. A couple of times he and I took a stroll all by ourselves around the Boardwalk. You can also rent boats and take a nice little cruise. There are lots of dining options in this area. Nicer restaurants with a quieter atmosphere. The quiet pool at the YC was often unoccupied and they have a great hot tub over there. On quite a few evenings, we were the only ones down there.

They also have a wedding gazebo and it is beautiful at night all outlined in little white lights. It makes a nice place to sit and relax.

Can you tell we really enjoyed ourselves? Wherever you choose to stay, I hope your trip is everything you want it to be. Have a great time!!!!

For romance I'd definitely go with the GF. It's so elegant and you feel totally pampered just being there. We spent our honeymoon there and it was fantastic!

I think every resort can be romantic in its own way. It still comes down to the theme you like the best. Here's a few pics of CSR at night. To us, CSR is very romantic. We like to stroll around the lake at night and sit on the hammocks at the beach.

DW and I honeymooned at WL and it was perfect for us. It felt so peaceful and the staff could not have been any more accomodating. We had an autographed picture from Cinderella & Prince Charming, the bed turned down, towel animals, and a lovely, upgraded room.

We're staying at AKL in December as a delayed first anniversary trip. Hope it's just as magical.

For a moderate resort French Qtr is great. It really is pretty and the grounds are so neat. I really enjoyed my stay at the French Qtr. Evening strolls along the waterway to and from DTD is pretty.
