Which resort has calmer waves?

Which resort has calmer waves, Hilton Head or Vero Beach?
Does anyone know?

On the Atlantic shore, any day can be a rough surf day or a calm surf day. It really depends on weather and tides and how they combine.

I agree with pp as well about conditions along Atlantic.

In our personal experiences at both resorts have been that

Vero Beach was hands down rougher ..... you might want to read the

adoration threads for each resort to gain more insight.

Hilton Head on average days. There are many surfers at Vero Beach and there are definitely more riptides at Vero.
