Which princess meal?

We are taking our 5 year olds to Disney World in May. I asked what princess they want to see most and it's Sleeping Beauty. I know that we won't see her at the Cinderella castle meal, and only MIGHT see her at the one at Akershus. Is she usually at that one or are we taking a big chance?
And where else could they possibly meet Sleeping Beauty?

I think the Cinderella meal would be better if the Akershus one features princesses that they don't care so much about and if that's the case, then we'll have wished we'd have done Cinderella because while not top on their list, she's still better than others (in their opinion)!

Any advice? Thank you!

Oh what a handy chart - thank you!

So if I'm reading it correctly, it says that Sleeping Beauty is actually at Cinderella's Royal Table? The chart did not day "may appear" or "occasionally", it was just blank, which to me looks like you can pretty much count on it??

We saw her at Cinderella's in September. No princess is "guaranteed" but she's a biggie so its a pretty good chance she'll be there.

Wow I seriously thought it was JUST Cinderella! Well I am very thankful for this board and the replies!

What other options for getting a picture with princesses are there other than meals?

No we saw Cinderella, Aurora, Belle (blue dress), Ariel and Snow White. The princesses are also at the Theatre on Main Street for a meet and greet. FPs are available for this. I'm not sure how many are there (maybe 3) and you never know who you are going to get.

So the Theater on Main Street - is the Princess meet and greet thing called something? Like, "princess meet and greet?" :confused3 Or anything like that?
Thanks!

If its their first trip or if they've never done the castle, I would go w. CRT. We've seen Aurora during every trip at both Akershus & CRT. We prefer Akershus but I think everyone should do CRT at least once.

10/8 am - saw Aurora , Belle, snow white and Ariel at CRT ( with Cinderella down stairs) - the Town Square Theater on Main Street had Aurora , Belle and Cinderella - there are fast passes , but we went after an early dinner on a rainy rainy day and there was no line.

We've done CRT twice and Akershus twice. We have seen Sleeping Beauty at all 4 meals. Ultimately, you get a total of 5 princesses per meal. At CRT you meet Cindy downstairs and get the other 4 on rotation in the dining room. At Akershus, we met Belle before being seated and then met the other 4 in the dining room that were on rotation. Akserhsus also does a processional parade sort of thing where the girls go around the dining room with the princesses. The don't do anything like that in the castle, but - you get the magic of being in the castle. :cloud9:

The little princesses do get a magic wand and a wishing star, though! :goodvibes

OP, Aurora has been at CRT the last 2 times we have gone. And as pp have stated she can be found in the garden in France and at Town Square Theater.

This past May and Augus twe saw her at CRT and Akershus. Cinderella, Bell and Aurora are my girls favortie and must see and we lucky enought to see them at both locations both times. We have been to Akershus 5 times over the past 6 years and she has always been there with Belle.

Both are great. If this is the first time, I could go to CRT just for the castle experience.

As PP said, Aurora will be in France. Just pick up a times guide at the front of Epcot when you enter and it will tell you the times she will be there. It lists all of the times you can see characters throughout Epcot. Last year we saw Aurora, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland and Belle.

We just did breakfast at Akershus and dinner at CRT. Akershus was sooo much better. It was nice to eat in the castle, but the food was just ok and the prices were very high. I'd do Akershus again, but not CRT. Sleeping Beauty was at both places.

We went to Akershus on October 5 and Sleeping Beauty was one of our princesses. We had Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Ariel.

If you wanted to be sure your daughter was able to see Sleeping Beauty, you could sign her up for the Perfectly Princess Tea Party at the Grand Floridian. Sleeping Beauty is the only princess there and I believe the My Disney Girl doll they give the girls is dressed as Sleeping Beauty. A mother at my daughter's ballet class was telling me about the tea party right before we left for our trip. Her twin daughters did it on their trip in March because they are huge Sleeping Beauty fans. She said the dolls are really nice and that her girls enjoyed the tea party.

We've done CRT 5 times and Akershus once. My daughter, who is now 12, has been a princess lover since birth. She LOVES the castle~ even now it was the first question she asked when we told her we were planning a trip~ can we eat in the castle again? She's never asked to eat at Akershus again~ she was 6 when we ate there. There is just something about eating in the castle~ the food is ok~ we all prefer breakfast to lunch. However, we don't neessarily go for the food (but we find breakfast quite good~ esp the stuffed french toast). When she was little, DD really thought Cinderella lived upstairs in the castle and wanted to see her bedroom (which we told her was off limits of course) and that all of her princess friends came to help her greet her guests for breakfast. It is just magical. Overlooking Fantasyland is amazing. The waiters speak with an English accent and refer to you in royal terms. and yes, we've seen Sleeping Beauty at every single meal there (and she was at Akershus when we ate there as well). Certain princesses aren't guaranteed at either... they could have a cold one day, but Aurora is definitely a regular at both. Your DD will love either meal, but my family just finds eating in THE castle so magical and the experience is amazing. It is costly, but it really is one of the major highlights of our trips~ and like I said~ even though DD is older and some of the magic of characters is definitely gone, she still thinks eating in the castle is a must!
and 5 is such a great age for Disney~ enjoy.... they grow so fast!!!
