Which parks to visit on which days?

We will be at WDW in two weeks (hitting the parks starting on Tuesday, March 29th). We are spending five days at the parks - one day at each park and one extra day at whatever park we feel we need to go back to (though the last day will not be a full day as we'll be leaving for elsewhere in Florida at some point that day).

Right now I have park reservations set up as follows:

Tuesday - Animal Kingdom
Wednesday - Disney Hollywood Studios
Thursday - EPCOT
Friday - Magic Kingdom
Saturday - Disney Hollywood Studios

Disney Hollywood Studios is a priority as they have the most rides that my son wants to ride (hence reserving it for two days).

My wife and I are really looking forward to Animal Kingdom (as well as DHS). We haven't been there since we went after they first opened (we loved it then, too) so we are excited to see all the new developments.

Of course, we are excited about EPCOT and MK but we aren't necessarily super excited about any rides at EPCOT. While I'm mostly looking forward to just wandering through EPCOT and taking everything in, I'm sure we'll want to ride as many rides as we can.

And of course MK is a big deal but we were at Disneyland in 2019 so I feel like MK will be more of a repeat visit for my son than a whole new adventure (I've been to both over the course of my lifetime so it definitely has a 'repeat visit' feel for me, not that that's bad).

Should I move any reservations to avoid crowds? I can't swap MK to Tuesday as it's already sold out but otherwise I can swap the other parks around if there is a better strategy for avoiding crowds.

And I wish I had known prior to making the trip that Saturdays are (or at least seem to be right now, based on the days selling out) less busy than weekdays! Who knew? But the overall trip schedule is set so...

Looks like the park days are starting to fill up. Tuesday is now gone for HS and Wednesday is gone for MK. Don't know that there will be any real benefit to swapping parks around at this point - they will probably all have similar crowd levels no matter which days I pick.

Interestingly enough, availability seems to fill up most quickly Mon-Wed while weekends remain open. Never would have guessed that! Glad we have a schedule that is later in the week.

For some reason DHS Saturdays seems to have more G+ availability than weekdays. So if you are planning to buy G+ Saturday might be a good day to do DHS.

That’s great to know!

My son and I are, in fact, going to be at DHS that Saturday (for our one second day at the same park this trip). I scheduled a second day at DHS in case we don’t get on all the big rides.

But it sounds like Saturday might help make sure we ride everything!
