We're going to WDW in a week. I have two boys (5 and almost 3.) We've never taken the kids. Husband and I have not been to Animal Kingdom or Disney Studios. We will be there 3 days. Should we get a park hopper and do all the parks? There isn't much for them at Epcot, is there? How do you feel about Disney STudios. Kids might like Playhouse Disney, but is there enough excitement for the little ones to make it worth going?

Also, I got the vacation video and it looked like most of the rides at AK are not for little tykes. Sons Love animals, so I do want to do the safari.

Advice greatly appreciated!

Park Hoppers at MGM I think they would like Muppets 3D,Fantasmic,Little Mermaid,Honey I Srunk the Kids paly area,At Epcot Universe of Energy,Living Sea's,The Land,at Ak Boneyard play area,Tarzan Rocks,Wildlife Express Train,Lion King Festival and I'm sure I'm leaving out many they would enjoy.

My kids were 3 and 4 the first time we went. We had the best time!

I guess you could skip Epcot, although it seems a shame. There is lots at Animal Kingdom they could do...shows, animals, some of the rides. The boneyard is great. It would be a short day, so if you got hoppers, maybe you could go to Epcot that evening.

The best parks for kids are MGM studios and Magic Kingdom.

I would do Animal Kingdom the first day, then MGM and lastly, Magic Kingdom.

I would do MK, Epcot and AK - our DH (was 3 1/2) loved these parks and did not care for MGM that much (said "he did not like shows"....)

:wave2:

so I would get Park Hoppers to have the option to go from park to park.

We've been going since January 1999 with our children. Our younger son was 16 mo at the time and our older son was 2 1/2 y.o. They are now 6 and 7.

At MGM, they have liked the shows (Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast), the Great Movie Ride (is that still open?), and Playhouse Disney. We skip the Honey I shrunk...playground because it was too hard to watch the children in the crowds there.

At Epcot, they like the boat at the Land, Mexico and Norway. They like watching the "street performers" at the various countries. They love the miniature train village at Germany. They like riding the launch across the lagoon. Now they love playing Toon Tag at Innoventions.

At Animal Kingdom, they like Triceratops Spin (like Dumbo and Aladdin), the Boneyard, the safari, the train ride to conservation station, the Flights of Wonder bird show, and just looking at the animals on the trails.

first time we went my dd's were 6 and 4
they loved AK MK and epcot
they were not thrilled with MGM
the huney i shrunk the kids was about all they liked

i would definatly get hoppers so you could check out everything

Have Fun:D

Thanks everybody. I had been thinking about doing MK,AK and MGM and skipping Epcot. Maybe I should skip MGM instead? Youngest does not like shows. Maybe that will change though.

Are the statue performers still at Epcot? Son saw them on the video and loved them.

I do have to go to MGM for the Stars and Motorcars at least for son to see Cruella. Does it take a long time to get from park to park these days? Can you walk from MGM to Epcot?

Since you only have 3 days and you have little ones...this is what I would do.

MK!!!!!
MGM

That's it. Those would be top priority and I'd plan on going back to MK more than once because it's our DD's absolute favorite. So many rides for little ones.

MGM is great for shows! Playhouse Disney, Beauty and the Beast, and Ariel. Then there's the parade. Muppet 3-D movie and the Honey I shrunk the kids play area and there's the stunt show. It could be done in one day if you had to. You older child is old enough for ToT if he's brave enough!

If you could fit in AK then maybe you can do the safari, and the dino diging area, the Bug 3-D movie and the Lion King Show.

Have fun and try not to go too crazy trying to fit in everything in 3 days, you WON'T be able to so just take it easy and focus on maybe 2 parks.

My kids, 4 and 6 enjoyed it ALL! They went on every ride they could height wise!

If I had to skip a park, it would be MGM, but we still liked it.
