Which Options Would You Choose..

I am trying to decide on an option that make sense and best bang for the buck to use for our 10 years anniversary. In BOLD is the final price.

I would choose option #4 and get a king bedroom if possible.

CSR seems like a very romantic resort. But the draw for me would be the meal plan. You will be able to have nice dinners together that are completely paid for! There are so many nice places to choose to eat. It's like the whole pkg. nice resort, all things disney, and the meal plan!

If you want to save a little $ drop the park hopper! Just plan your days and dining in advance. You gonna want to plan the dining in advance anyway.

So for me it would be simple option #4 but all I could do is give you my reasonings for it.

I would take option #4 and drop the Park Hopper. Especially if there are no kids involved in trip. If you don't want to stay at park all day, go to Downtown Disney, Resort Hop, Relax in Pool, get massage, or stay in room for some time to relax.

I'd go with #4, but I would keep the hoppers just because that's how we do the parks I'd try to plan your days just a little bit and decide if you really think you will hop or not, you can always upgrade to a hopper ticket when you are there if you decide you want it.

After much debate with my inner self...we went with #1. I figured I should at least have to see what all the talk about of the nice view of Savannah

It's your vacation, so you had to choose what was right for YOU, even if it isn't what the rest of us voted for.

I didn't have time when i posted previously to elaborate. You've already made your choice, but I'll explain why I chose #4 anyway, in case it might help someone else.

1. We love AKL. It's our favorite resort. However, there are good savanna view rooms and not-so-good savanna view rooms. The last time we had a view of a fence and some birds.

2. I would not want to pack up my stuff and move to a different resort for only two nights. I prefer to settle in and stay put.

3. On an anniversary trip, the DDP would be far preferable to the QSDP, in my opinion. If it was going to be just DH and I, we would want to enjoy a TS dinner every night.

4. I would not want to spend my anniversary trip at a value resort if I could help it. I don't think it's worth spending the bulk of the anniversary trip at a value in exchange for two nights at AKL.

Definitely #4. I agree with all of these above. We have been to Coronado Springs 3 times and loved it.

I would have selected option 4 no question about it. I wouldn't want to stay in a Value resort. My husband and I stayed at Coronado Springs in February and that was as "Value" as I would go. We are used to much nicer accommodations so it was a bit of a letdown but it was clean which is most important, and there weren't a ton of kids there which was great because it was quiet.

We also had the regular DDP and loved it because we could have both quick service and table service! We got through the parks quickly with no kids, so we needed our park hoppers...I wouldn't drop those. Some of the table service meals are very tasty. We found the quick service meals to be just okay. We tried a lot of the favorites according to folks here on the Dis and found everything at the quick service locations to be way overrated. Lol with the DDP though, we were able to use a snack credit each morning for a light breakfast such as a yogurt parfait, muffin, etc.

Another vote for #4 for a few reasons:

I wouldn't want to stay at a value kid-themed resort on my anniversary;
I wouldn't want to move mid-vacation;
I am not a fan of QS meals and prefer sit-down, especially for an anniversary
and lastly, you seemed to get the most bang for your buck with the #4 option.

Just to throw in another option, have you ever looked into renting points? We did last year and stayed at AKV, (standard, not savannah but we had an awesome view, there were always animals out - we got lucky), got the dining plan, and regular passes for under $2,000.
