Which option is better?

I have two decisions to make and am looking for opinions.... Which is better...

1a) RD at DHS, sign up for JTA, ride TSMM, etc, Sci Fi bfast at 9:40 OR 1b) 8 or 8:30 ADR, then sign up for JTA, ride TSMM...

My thought here is 1b, which seems to go against my instinct. My concern here is later ADR = lost early day time but early ADR time = rushed meal that is costing me 2 credits! We have little ones so we won't hit ToT or RnR and early touring time doesn't seem as important at DHS....

My second question is, our AK day we plan to do AK in the morning / early afternoon and then head over to MK to see MSEP & Wishes/FW. Question here is, do we use our FP's in AK or save them for MSEP so we don't have to wait in a spot? We will probably arrive at AK right around RD and will head to MK whenever we are "done" with AK. We are going May 6th.

If you are going to AK at rope drop and leaving a little after lunch, use the fastpasses at MK. Get the headliners done in the first two hours with minimal waits (KS, EE, Dinosaur, KRR).

For AK vs MK, I was in same situation. Not sure of your budget or party size but I managed to pick up a Wishes Dessert party cancellation for my trip. It's this Sun and got my res last Tues.

You retain all your FP+ for AK and don't have to worry about staking out a spot far in advance for Wishes.

It's a tough res to come by though but worth a try!

There's a 5-day out cancellation window you could try.

Thanks but it's really MSEP that I want to have the FP for, I wish we had that option for the parade!
