I'm trying to decide which night to go to Palo. We don't want to miss formal and semi-formal with the kids. We also don't want to miss any good shows(by the way what are they?)We were thinking the night we leave from St. Thomas. We also thought we'd go on the 1st night, but then we'd miss our first night rotation with our 2 dd's! Anyone have any thoughts? Soo confused!!

Try Brunch on a sea day instead. OR go to Disney Dreams (or whatever show they have) as a matinee and then schedule Palo for that night so you wont miss a show. Check the recent navigators on catawayclub.com to see which day they show a matinee. Also, I've heard of others "double dipping" on a night - going to their regular restaurant AND Palo.

Nysie, we did Palo on Wednesday evening on both our cruises which is the St. Thomas night, it worked out great. It is the 2nd night in your first restaurant, you don't miss a theme night and the show is Who Wants to Be a Mouseketeer which is easily missed IMHO :) Make sure you book brunch too.

I would go Wed night. We thought that would be the best night to miss our regular dining rotation. You've been to all three restaurants, know your tablemates and servers, etc.

We went early - at 6 PM, as that gave us the best chance for a window table and our servers were not busy handling three or more tables at the same time. I'd suggest either going early, or going late at 8:30 or so, to avoid the most crowded time.

IF you have great servers and table mates that you enjoy, why not go to both - you aren't forced to eat - you can just sit and have your coffee and chat!

You guys are great!! It looks like Wed night is the night!! I wasn't sure if "Who wants to be a mouseketeer" was a must see! Does anyone know about what time the sun sets in July in St.Thomas? Thanks again!!:Pinkbounc

Do they still have "Who wants to be a mousekateer"? They took the show of the Wonder. It was the weakest show by far. The Golden Mickey's show is a definate MUST SEE!

Thanks Rae! Do you use table A? I put in Virgin Islands, Then for place I put St. Thomas, but it said the file could not be found. What am I doing wrong? Thanks again!!

Since the Virgin Islands are a US territory, use the chart (A) and scroll down to Virgin Islands - then with city, type in Charlotte Amalie - no punctuation marks.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Rae! I knew you would have the answer!! My husband was online with me the other day and was sooooo amazed at all of the info. that was available!! and how nice people are on these boards!! I'm waiting for the day that I might catch him here w/o me! lol! Have you narrowed down which summer month for your "Birthday Cruise"? It seems that my dh being a teacher, that's the only time we can take vacations!! Thanks again soo much for your help and kindness!!:wave2:

We have never had dinner at Palo. We enjoy our servers and new friends that we share a table with. We do not miss going to BRUNCH at Palo. It is wonderful (as I am sure that dinner is).

We have always have been seated with another family or 2 or 3. And we have always had a great time.
