Would you recommend for either a late lunch or early dinner prior to MNSSHP? I am looking for a 1 credit TS.
....on another note I feel like I am constantly thinking about food while planning the meal part of this vacation! :scared1: Diet not going well.

I would say that depends on your group and what type of meal you are looking for. There are some really good options, but they are very different.

Do you want a character meal? If so there's Chef Mickey at the CR or 1900 Park Fare at GF

Something relaxed and easy? Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona or the Wave

Non-character, but fun and all you can eat family style dining? Ohana

Non-character and are doing Ohana another evening. I am so torn when I look at menu's for GFC, Kona and the Wave. They all seem equally appealing to me, I nor my husband has been to any of them. Probably want to go with one of those three, which one is confusing me!

I haven't done Grand Floridian Cafe. B/t Kona and the Wave, I prefer the Wave. I like that it is not open to the lobby and has some really nice options. I like Kona too, but we go to Ohana every time as well and The Wave gives you a different atmosphere. BTW, the no sugar added desserts at the Wave are amazing. My diet never goes well at Disney either.

For some reason I'm leaning more towards GFC or the Wave, I think I just like the menus better and I really liked the options for kids at the Wave. Not completely standard like everywhere else.
Thank you!

I've never eaten at GFC. Kona and the Wave are favorites, though. Boy, it's actually difficult to choose between the two. If you were asking about dinner instead of lunch, I'd probably go with the Wave. However, we like their dinner much better than lunch. So for a lunch, I'd probably say Kona.

The Wave or GFC, they are both fantastic places

We LOVE The Wave...I think it's still one of the best-kept restaurant secrets at WDW. We've eaten there for breakfast and lunch, but not dinner, but it has been one of our faves two years in a row. We have ADRs for breakfast next month and I can't wait to have the sweet potato pancakes again.

If you like Sushi and are able to sit down right away since they don't accept ADR's, I would highly recommend the Kona Island Sushi Bar at the Polynesian which opens at 5:00 PM.

Now if you don't like Sushi you can still go there and order off the full dinner menu for the Kona Cafe, so that's something to remember if you wanted to eat there and couldn't get an ADR for the restaurant area.

Instead of going to one of the resorts, how about eating in the MK at LTT? That cuts down on the travel time after your meal and maximizes your time at the party.

Kona Cafe is one of our favourites and I would highly recommend it. We tried the Wave a couple of years ago and weren't that impressed.

If you are into characters/have kids then Chef Mickey's is great-its the classic characters! and I have always liked the food (I know I'm not in the majority there ha!)

Otherwise, something like Ohana would be good....more relaxed for sure and the Polynesian is gorgeous!!!!
