We have just returned from our once in a lifetime disney trip and have basically decided that the only way to cope with the withdrawal symptoms is to book another one. Due to time constraints the only time we can go is last week in aug/first week in sept next year. I like the idea of trying out one of the moderate hotels but which one :confused3 . Any thoughts on the pros and cons of each would be appreciated. Thanks Gill

We particularly liked POFQ, a smaller resort, good pool and slide, with a romantic feeling about it. It might just be that we love New Orleans though.

Hated CSR - too much like a convention centre.

Among the moderates, we like POR (Port Orleans Riverside - what used to be called Dixie Landings until WDW decided to go PC and changed the name).

We prefer the Alligator Bayou section of the resort. The landscaping is wonderful.

We stayed there 3 years in a row I think (before it changed its name). We had a room in the building right next to the main building, which was really nice. The first year they gave it to us without asking. The second and third years, we requested it and got it.

The swimming pool here (ole man island I think it's called) is very nice. And you can rent fishing poles to fish at the 'ole fishing hole'. And there's bicycle rentals as well (lots of place to ride around. we always did this too).

We really enjoyed all of our stays there. Very picturesque, and I always feel like i'm a million miles away from WDW. They do a very good job there.

we don't stay there anymore just because we've moved up to the deluxe and villa category, not because it's not a wonderful place to stay. It is.

Wouldn't go for CSR- friends went there and thought it was too buisnessy!!

Go for CBR if you like to walk but PO is probably the best moderate! :wave2:

We stayed here and didn't find it like that at all. We were very impressed with the resort. Very relaxing.
