If all you could do was a Mod resort which would it be and why? I have a DS 9 truning 10 and a DD 6 .. The y love pools and water. Please help!

I would stay at CSR because we love it so much. There is so much to do even if you stay at the resort all day long. Rent water mice, go fishing or rent surrey bikes. There is 2 arcades, one in the main building and by the main pool area. The main pool area is great too. Volleyball court, an awesome pool and a large (123 ft) water slide.

Check out my CSR website below.

CSR, for the same reason Buzz2001 gave ya!

we are partial to POR. they have a great themed main pool and about 7 quiet pools, ( which are generally full of kids having a great time so "quiet" is mis-leading, its a pool close to your room and lots of fun. these pools are open 24 hrs so its nice to have a refreshing dip after a long day in the parks. also POR is nicely landscaped with flowers, plants, greenery, waterway with a boat ride to DTD a big gameroom, fishing hole, large gift shop and a pianoman named bob jackson who is full of energy and very entertaining with family friendly shows as he includes the kids in his routines. so thats my input. hope it helps.:)

My son (12) loves to swim and his favorite pool is CSR, but we spend a lot of time at BB and TL so we usually don't factor in the pool when picking a resort.

My personal favorite is CBR. Also found that CBR has more dresser space (there is a huge drawer in the bench), bathroom counter space (on top and underneath) and suitcases fit under the bed. Staying for so long these things might be a factor.

The food court seems to be more kid food friendly (basic burgers, nuggets, hot dogs)

CSR has quiet pools too and open 24/7! CSR does not share the bus with other resorts. POR share bus with POFQ. POR is the last pick up/drop off. CSR has 3 themes (sections), Casitas, Cabanas and Ranchos, very well themed. The ground is just beautiful especially when the sun is going down looking across the lake and see the reflections of the bldgs on the water. NICE!
The pool here is awesome. It has a longer slide, if I am not mistaken. Enjoy your trip!

Another CSR convert here!

We're internet junkies so I like CSR because they're the only moderate with internet access in the room (staying there in December and that's what made our decision).

Also, if you like to exercise, Coronado is the only moderate with a gym, as well.

Can the CSR room also fit a twin Aero bed ?
Our DS & DD will not sleep together in the same bed.

Also - are there 2 sinks in the bathroom ?

We like to to 10 day. DD & DS want 14 days on our next
magical adventure, :teeth:

10 nights is definately long enough to split a stay. I've done it with 7 nights.

But if you think you are a type of person that wouldn't like that, I don't know what to tell you. :p I love POR, but I would love to try CSR. Some great points about CSR have already been made. It really comes down to which theme you think you would like. All of them have great points.

Sorry I wasn't much help. It's so hard deciding, isn't it??

Yes a twin Aero bed will fit, we just did this. My DS's 14 & 17 will not sleep together. We just rearranged the table and chairs a bit and put it next to the cabinet that holds the TV, there was plenty of room.

There is only one sink at CSR, but they do have that curtain between the sink area and the main bedroom... makes it nice for getting dressed in the morning without disturbing everyone.

I would say Riverside. For a few reasons...... The pool is nice(you also can use the pool next door at french quarter),the food court is big, fishing, playground(the playground is pretty neat not a plain playground its one they would probably like)
Also the boat to Downtown Disney, and the sitdown resteraunt for breakfest.:)
Happy planning:sunny:

I was hopeing to stay at the WL but for 10 nights and the sliver plan it would run about $6000 so I am thinking of changin to a Mod Resort. Or what would be your thoughts on 5 at a MOD and 5 at a Deluxe?

I'm a resort hopper convert - I like the idea of 5 nights CSR & 5 nights at a deluxe of your choice....
CSR is a fantastic resort. We loved our stay there! I highly recommend it to folks & no one who's gone has been disappointed yet.

I would split the stay for sure. Every resort has their followers, so just pick two. Personally, I would stay at CSR and POFQ. Or do what you mentioned and stay 5 at a moderate and then finish with 5 at WL. Will you have a car? When we stayed at CS our thoughts at the time was that we would only stay there again if we had a car since we had a long walk to get to the bus.

Last summer we stayed at the CSR for 10 nights and absolutely loved it. We thought that by the end of our stay we would be ready to go home, but nope we wanted to stay longer. The CM's at the CSR are A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! The resort sucks you right in especially if you get a room in the Cabana's or the Casitas! The main pool ROCKS! The quiet pools are great too!. Like I said before the resorts sucks you right in and you feel as if you are home away from home. It's a very beautiful & comfortable resort. We love it, that's why we return there every year! This year we made the mistake and stayed at the Caribbean Beach that was a HUGE mistake on our part! After the horrible customer service we recieved we asked if we could go home to the Coronado Springs. Once we moved resorts I felt as if we started vacation all over again in a totally different place.

We've got a 10 night stay coming up in November...

4 nights 11/6-11/10 ~~POR

6 nights 11/10-11/16~~CSR.

Can't wait. Kids are 9,8, and 4 and love the pools at the moderates.

Have fun!
Beth

Another vote for Coronado Springs.

The pool area is huge and very relaxing for all ages.
I have heard many people complain about the food court but I love the food there. The bus service is quick and easy. The motif is beautiful. The check in is fast and the tkt info desk is well staffed. I have stayed there 3 times and it just keeps getting better.
