Which Limo Company to Use from MCO to the Port?

I know that this has been discussed many times - in fact last year we used Florida Tours (FL Tours) which was just OK - they were a little late but they did furnish a free grocery stop and provided Champagne (to our account) at cost which I thought was a nice touch. Now, here is my new dilemma. I have just received an e-mail from FL Tours that all limo stops are now $25.00 (still free on town cars and vans) and they will provide champagne, however this will now be plus a fee. A $35 bottle of Moet (retail) would then be charged a $25.00 handling fee resulting in a cost to us of $60.00.

I'm now interested in looking elsewhere so I can compare services before I decide which company to go with.

Who would you recommend?

Thank you!:confused3

We used Happy Limo and were very happy with them. He did ask us if we needed to stop anywhere...we didn't, so I'm not sure if they charge or not. But, they were on time, and the price was great!

Glad you brought this up! I wanted to give a recommendation about Happy Limo, but wasn't sure where to post it.

We used Happy Limo and were extremely satisfied. Our first driver, Daniel, was great. He was early, professional, personable, and a careful driver.

We could have stopped for groceries at no charge, but we opted for a Starbucks drivethru instead. We did, however, circle back after driving 5 minutes from the hotel because my DD3 forgot her "magic wand" on a table at the hotel. He said he was a dad and understood, so he graciously took us back for no charge, no hassle and a lot of good humor. :wizard:

Our trip back was fine. There seemed to be some confusion over our pick up time, but as it resulted in the driver being very early- not late- it didn't affect us at all.

Don't forget you can find on-line coupons for Happy Limo. I got a code from Mousesavers.com or castawayclub, can't remember which just now. :thumbsup2

On our last cruise:
Happy Limo: I had called to cancel over a month before then booked FL Tours - they showed up at the Poly

Florida Tours: I emailed to cancel (had return response) - they showed up as well - so now I have TWO limos

then here comes Southern Elegance, who I had decided to go with - so there were THREE limos with our names on it! I was sooo embarassed.

I can't remember why I booked/cancelled/booked so many companies. Not my normal M.O.

FL Tours didn't tell me about the grocery stop when I booked last month.

Southern Elegance was wonderful! Right on time, the owner was terrific, I think the price was about the same as the other two.

We've used Happy Limo a lot...the most recent time was when we cruised with our next door neighbors. They sent a huge stretch limo for both legs of the trip...on the way back, the neighbors' grandkids were there to meet us, and they were soooo excited when they saw grandma and grandpa popping out of the vehicle like celebrities!!

If we use a limo, will DCL still handle our larger luggage for us or will we need to pick it up at the airport and pack it in the limo?

As long as you put the DCL-provided luggage tags on your bags before you check-in at your home airport, those bags will magically appear outside of your stateroom on the ship.

If you are not going directly from MCO to the port (for example, you may be staying somewhere overnight or going to WDW before the cruise) you can take your bags with you in the limo. The limo company will tell you how many bags will fit in what types of vehicles. One time, our towncar trunk wouldn't hold all of our bags, but we still made it by putting one suitcase inside with us.

A vote for Southern Elegance here. We were VERY happy with their service. They answered all my questions and returned my calls promptly and courteously - which means a lot to me. The car was extremely clean and cooled when we got there. We're using them again in June.
