My kids enjoy going to the pool almost as much as the parks so we like to come back for an afternoon swim, shower and chill b4 heading back to the parks. My girls will be 10 and 6 at the time of our trip and we have a pool club at home so they are definitely water kids, but we really don't want to do a water park (can do that around here). A little water slide or other "kids" activity in the pool would be nice. Can anyone give me the pro's and con's of the resort pools to help me make a decision on where to stay next Sept!! Thanks so much!

As with everything at Disney, "you get what you pay for."

If you can afford a Deluxe, the Stormalong Bay pool at the Beach Club is supposed to be the best on the property. However, you're looking at $400+ per night.

The best pool of the moderates is Coronado Springs. Some People don't like CSR, but we loved it. You're looking at $200 per night.

For the values ($120 per night), we've stayed at all of them. All Star Movies and Music are the best. I'd pick Movies overall, though, because of the many activities they have at the pool (games, drive-in movie, etc.).

Unfortunately, you aren't permitted to "pool hop," so you may have to choose your resort based on your budget.

Beach Club, but it is expensive, but the pool is amazing. You won't need a water park staying there. It's very convenient to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, as well as the Boardwalk.

Value resorts pools do not have slides but nice.
CSR has my favorite pool. It is big and has a slide on one side of the pool, so you can swim witout being splashed if you want.
CBR has a new just upgraded pool with 2 slides but on both sides of the pool, no quiet spot.
As pp mentioned, beach club got the best pool ever but you will have to pay much more for the room.
I would vote for CSR. Note that CBR and CSR got quiet pools as well.

Poly has a great pool. Pool on one side, sandy beach on the other side of your patio chair. View of the castle from the pool. zero entry level pool with a water fall and slide for the kids.

SAB @ Yacht/Beach club is by far the best. There are several pools, a large water slide and some smaller waterslides as well. Theres a Lazy river, zero entry pool and sand bottom pools. They also have games/activities poolside pretty much every afternoon and movies on the beach at night. You are walking distance to Epcot, DHS, Boarwalk, Swan/Dolphin and Fantasia Mini Golf. It is a delux so it is expensive but I think the location alone is worth it. Also, look into renting DVC points for a Beach Club villa, it could save you some money and you still get the awesome location and pool!

We'll be at the Beach Club in four days!!!! I can't wait to see SAB!

SAB without a doubt. We never left the place. We are not park commandos at all, we only do 2 parks in 6 days. The kids LOVED SAB so much that we cancelled a park day and several ADR's. Beaches and Cream and Hurricane Hannah's were our stomping grounds.

My kids (10 and 7) are convinced they will never find another pool as great as CBR's! :goodvibes It has zero entry, 2 slides - one open & shorter and the other longer & enclosed, and 2 hot tubs. Next to it is the children's pool which is pirate themed, zero entry, has a tipping bucket, and several slides. Lots of fun! CBR also has several "quiet pools" around the resort.

I hope to take them to the BC/YC one day soon, I know they will love that pool too!

another vote for SAB here. My kids are still talking about it. We only went into the sand bottom pool but there is a lot more to do then that. I have been toying around with the idea of staying some where else to save some money, but with SAB and being able to walk to both EPCOT and DS no one is agreeing to anything other then BC. :confused3

SAB without a doubt!

If you go in value season it's not quite as expensive as posted above. You can get a standard view room, value season for $340 per night. Also if you have AAA you can get a 15% discount. We think it's well worth it!

Stormalong Bay..couldn't get my son out of it. He loved the slide and the whirlpool area. Beaches & Cream is right in the pool area too :goodvibes

I vote for Beach Club pool not only because of the pool itself, but also because you stated your family likes to hop back to the resort in the afternoons to swim, then back to a park at night. This is our favorite thing to do, and it's the most convenient to do this at BC/YC. We choose any of the 4 parks for our morning park, then enjoy the pool in the afternoon, then we LOVE to have leisurely, easy-going nights walking in to the Epcot countries, walking or boating to HS, or simply enjoying the Epcot resort area, movie on the beach, boardwalk entertainment. It's a wonderful area full of things to do, and especially enjoyable because of the pool and location.

Yep!
We just got back last week, 10th time at Disney, 1st at the Beach Club. I would like to try other places, but it will be VERY hard to get my family away from the Beach Club now that we stayed there for two reasons: the pool and the location of the resort. It was wonderful. :thumbsup2

Any one that I am able to relax at.:lmao: Kidding aside. SAB is a great pool but for me it's more like a water park. I do however like the GF feature pool as well. They are both great but since your children love the water, I would vote for SAB handsdown.
