I know that Horizons is the lower-end one, but I'm not sure of how the regular VCs stack up against each other. Thanks in advance!

Both Grande Vista and Cypress Harbour are topnotch Marriott timeshare resorts in Orlando. Which is better is probably a matter of what is important to the individual. GV is a somewhat newer, fairly large resort with direct access to a Marriott golf course on the property, has some limited spa-type services and has an on-site restaurant. CH is smaller, cozier and seems more laid back. Older units at both resorts have either recently undergone interior renovation or are currently being refurbished.

In my opinion, either of these resorts would be a very good choice.

We have stayed at all three :) We honestly prefer Horizons but I think that's because we have a three year old and the pools are perfect for her:thumbsup2 My next pick would be grande vista the reason I say this is that thing seemed newer there and also because the last time my mother in law stayed at cyprus harbor thier were many of issues with the unit she stayed in. If you have any more questions feel free to post or PM me i'd be glas to answer any of them:thumbsup2

We've stayed at two of them and are staying at Horizons next year. I think the one you like would be based on what you are looking for. If you want a three bedroom you'll want Imperial. But Imperial/Sabal/Royal are off by themselves so they are quieter or you need to travel to the world to take advantage of their facilities. GV has the golf. We Like CH best. They are all nice.

:cool1: We stayed here for a week over the 4th of July with my sister in law and here three boys and three of us.

We own at SSR DVC so it was nice to compare. We stayed in a two bedroom it was nicely maintained, clean and had nice open areas with a screened in porch and washer/dryer:laundy: .

The facilities are big and beautiful. My only two issues were the 1) knats (tiny bugs) that were around the unit. The screened in porch was there for a reason. But each night coming home there were tons of these bugs near the lights on each floor of the building. Some people said it was the water but at Disney we never encountered that anywhere on property we stayed. 2) One night in the pool there were a few pools of these bug in the water. Yuck!

It wasn't my vacation club so I didn't say anything.:rolleyes1

We are going to Hawaii in June for two weeks and the first week is at Marriott KoOlina Beach Club on Oahu my sister in law and brother in laws home resort. Which they said is awesome. So I'll be able to check out that one too.

I think you'd be happy to stay here if the bug issue is solved.

I guess it all depends when you plan your visit. We always travel in February and we never have bug issues. We did travel once in April and ran into the infamous Orlando "Love" bugs that are out during April and May. My son still remembers them and that was 10 years ago. I'm not sure how Disney keeps them out. The bugs probably can't afford Disney prices :)

Disney has a very very aggressive pest control program. Every non-Disney Orlando resort has screened balconies and/or porches, and private pool homes all have complete screen enclosures for the pools.

It's Florida. There are bugs. I try not to think about the kinds of chemicals Disney must be using to keep on top of it.

I don't think any amount of pest control will control the love bugs when out in full force. They have been thick in the parks on a couple of our visits.

My cousin and his family visited last year, and stayed at Cypress Harbor. It was fun, we loved the pools, there was a lot for the kids to do. The room was nice and very clean...overall, great! :goodvibes
