Which is faster?

Does anyone know which option would get us seated at a table at DTD Rainforest Cafe sooner....make a PS ahead of time, or using the Safari Club card?

Use the Safari Club card. It is almost instantaneous.

My understanding is Safari Club members have two options.
Guaranteed seating if made 24 hours in advance.
Walk up seating, in a members only line.
Even when they have been very busy I don't think we have waited even 15 minutes for the walk up seating.
I have never done the guaranteed seating. And that is assuming they still do that.

It has been a long time since I ate at DTD Rainforest, but they didn't take reservations then. I guess things have changed?

I know they USE to have guaranteed seating. But that has been 2 - 3 years ago. I think I read about that on my original Safai Club membership package. But really don't recall, since I never used it, nor tried.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I think I will just walk up and use my Safari Club card. Yes you can make a PS there, you just have to call the RFC directly @ 407-827-8500.

Just double checked for our trip 6/1 about this...called the phone number listed on the link above...was told the best way is to use the Safari Member's card for the quickest seating at the WDW AK and DTD locations. Since we weren't sure at a couple of meals this is a great "play it by ear" option for us.

Thanks so much for calling, what a great idea. I should have thought of it myself....duh. I guess I am too busy worrying about other stuff for our upcoming trip. In case anyone reading this is interested in a Safari Club card at the last minute, you can do what I did when we were there in Dec. I just walked past the huge line of people waiting an hour + for a table and went into the gift shop and purchased my Safari Club card there. Then I showed it to the folks at the "purple elephant" and 5 min later they called our name!
