Would love any feedback! We can only do one, so which would be your fave for kids ages 3 and 6?

My son enjoyed both, but if you can only do 1 of them, I would say DHS as they have Power Rangers, McQueen, Mater, Buzz, Woody, StarWars.

Epcot has innoventions, test track, mission space, the kidcot stations; any my kiddos love journey into imagination and seas w/ nemo- esp. turtle talk. There's a lot of characters, too.

DHS has toy story mania, and if you time it right, mater and lightning for meet/greet; muppets 3d, star tours and playhouse disney live on stage.

If my kids have to pick just one; they pick Epcot. But really, it depends on what your kids are into.

Yup... DHS! McQueen, Playhouse Disney, all the movie stuff - a little boys dream :o) Have fun!

I would pick Epcot- simply b/c there is more to do- we have trouble spending more than 1/2 day at DHS- we went with boys 3, 6 and 10. They loved epcot!

Epcot

Soarin', nemo, innovations, jumping water fountains, the list could go on. It is my kids fav park.

I have to probably say Epcot for many reasons listed already. Don't get me wrong - I have three boys that go crazy for DHS (7,9 & 14) but your boys are a little younger and at that age my kids loved the Kidcot stations as much as the rides. It's tough to pick one over the other as they both have great stuff for young boys to love. If your boys are still into Playhouse Disney you might be better off at DHS.

Really in Epcot the only things really geared for those that young are the Nemo and Crush attractions and Figment.

You will be able to fill a day at DHS:

Characters leave the park early, so arrive in the morning and hit all the ones you want to see.

The afternoon parade and perhaps the High School Musical show. There is no parade at Epcot.

Beauty and the Beast is a good show for them to see as is Playhouse Disney. Some that young don't like Fantasmic, our 5yo liked it, but was definitely scared at parts, but overall he was really happy to see the show; now at 7yo we'll be going back.

The Animation building has great hands on exhibits for the kids to try their hand at drawing characters using the computer, etc. A great place to cool down and there tend to be unique charcter greetings there. We met Remy and Emil there and the Incredible back in 2007; wouldn't be surprised to find the gang from Up in there.

If you plan to book a TS meal there I'd try for the PH Disney meal at Hollywood & Vine; it is geared for little ones their age. It is a character meal at B or L but not at dinner.

Your children are really too young for some of the rides listed for Epcot: Test Track would need an adult for each to ride. Soarin is the same way.

We also found just random street performers in DHS, they even made a game about picking up street debris there; the kids were selected at random and loved it. We saw 3-4 different acts like this in the park (great candid shots of my nephew laughing his head off at the actors antics).

Great info - thanks so much! I was really wavering, but I think we'll stick to a full day for DHS and hold off until they're older for Epcot. Even though everyone says you can't spend a full day at DHS, at their ages we don't need to be there from park open to park close anyway. ;)

DS5 loves them both. While he loves star wars and TSM at DHS, I would have to pick EPCOT. EPCOT is DS favorite park of them all! He loves soarin', test track, innoventions, and especially the Kim Possible Missions! We went to EPCOT 3 days on our last trip and still didn't get to do everything! For a little boy - its EPCOT!

Hi,

I know it looks like you have already made up your mind, but I just wanted to add my opinion FWIW. Our last Disney trip my boys were 5 and 6. They both said DHS was their least favorite park. If we had to skip a park DHS would be it.

Epcot has a lot for little boys. If they are tall enough anyway for soarin and test track. My boys like the living seas, journey into imagination and innoventions. They also like the kidcot stations. They have a blast trying the different sodas from other countries. We usually spend 2 days at epcot.

Last trip it was DS7, DD3 & they both loved DHS the best, however, EPCOT was a close 2nd. We spent most of the trip between those 2 parks.

Tough call! But probably DHS for us. We all LOVED Toy Story Mania! Plus, there are so many cool characters there. They also loved the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area.

BUT, on the other hand, at EPCOT, they have Soarin' and Turtle Talk with Crush. Those two were some of our kids favorites!

Easy decision for my 2 boys ... we'd pick DHS!!! Absolutely love it there. They love TSM, Star Tours and Great movie ride. They love Indy show and even Muppets. The characters are fabulous for boys -- Incredibles, power rangers, monsters, Cars, little einsteins. They love Sci-Fi for lunch.

We like Epcot too, but hands down favorite is DHS. (see my trip report links for lots of pictures and schedules with my 2 boys). Have a great time planning!!
