Which is better Ap discount or packages now?

I'm SO confused. I just booked room only for POP 1/25 - 2/1/08. I saved $300 per room with the Ap discount (MIL is going and has her own room). We were planning to do room only ressies, as DH and I have AP's for this trip and DS will still be 2 at the time. Only DMIL needs a park ticket. BUT, would I be better off doing a package with one day tickets? Or maybe a package for DMIL and keep the AP rate for us? Is there a way to plug the codes into the Disney website to get the prices for the packages? I hate to tie up a CM's time with me just doing number crunching! Any advice? Have I already gotten the best deal I can get? HELP!

I always wonder about this too. Call and ask. The CMs will help you and I don't think they mind a legitimate questions.

ADD: You know, I think we all obsess too much over this stuff. JMO. But that won't stop me from obsessing in the future.

Spent most of this week dwelling on the same thing. Had a room only AAA rate at POR for 20% off. New package was offering only 15% off but big savings by adding hop and pluses. Thing is I don't really think that we would use the extra given the shorter park hours and the weather. But, still considered upgrading those tickets to 10 day non-exp. In the end I wound up changing my reservation to an AP rate that was 33% off including the weekend. I will decide on tickets from UT once I pick flights. All I know is that it's nice to have options but I feel like I spent WAY too much time on this this week. Have fun.

I'm disappointed with the new AP discount. It just misses my dates and limits the resorts where they can be used! BOO hoo!!!:sad2:

BTW, Borders Rewards (yes, the bookstore) has a thing now for 7 day hopper tix for cheap. I posted the prices in another thread. I think that's where i'm going to get my tix. I can look the prices up again if you want. They were a good deal (better than UT).

Here are the Borders Rewards prices (7 day hoppers)
Adult Ticket: $248.65

Child Ticket: $215

That's a good price! Military price for that ticket is $259 with no tax!
