Which hotels to visit?

My husband liked the monorail drink-a-thon idea a lot. We just might have to give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion I would never have thought of it.

I agree that any and all of the deluxes are good choices! If you are there toward the end of Nov, they are must-see for the holiday decorations.

The breakfast at Boma at AKL is amazing, also I would recommend Chef Mickey's at the CR for breakfast. I would also put in my thumbs up for POFQ for the beignets! You can do them for a snack if you don't want to head over early in the am.

I also would recommend taking the boat from DD to POFQ/POR it is a fun way to visit those two resorts.

For shopping, CR is awesome - there is a good variety - and I love the gift shop at AKL - it is huge with some very unique items. BI has the whole package of shopping and variety of restaurants. Oh, and if you want an ice cream dessert you have to go to Beaches & Cream at Y&BC.

For other meals, I would also recommend WL for Whispering Canyon - just a fun family place.

AKL and WL have the best outdoor photo opportunities (imho). Oh, and the CMs at AKL are great to tell you about the animals when you are outside - just ask them anything!

DVC allows guests to pool hop with the exception of SAB.

I would visit, GF, Contemporary, AKL, Pop Century, Coronado Springs and Boardwalk.

As for shopping - you need to go off property for that. Try Belz Outlets and the Premiere Outlets. You will need a full day to do both in one day.

CR=Contemporary Resort

A nice stop for breakfast or lunch is the Grand Floridian Cafe at GF. It's a great way to start the day if you want a later start to the magic kingdom or a nice break in the afternoon.

Boma is my favorite breakfast buffet. (not a character buffet) I think the gift shop at AKL is one of the best also. I've never stayed at AKL, but also go over at least once for eating and shopping.
