Is there a list of which hotels offer their own shuttles to DL/DCA? I know about the ART shuttle, but have heard that it can be a pain due to overcrowding.

Thanks!

I stayed at the Homewood Suites last December. They shared a shuttle with the Crown Plaza & Sheraton in the same block. It ran every half hour and was always on time.

Thanks! Do you remember how much they charged per person?

The Hyatt Orange County has a great free shuttle, runs every 30 minutes and is very reliable. A very nice and affordable hotel to boot!

Hyatt Orange County shares with Crowne Plaza and Candy Cane Inn has its own shuttle.

Hi, sorry to hijack the post. I will answer what I know. To the pp: what was your opinion of the Homewood Suites? We just made a reservation, so I'm hoping it was good. I called and spoke with them about their shuttle and they told me that it made no other stops. :confused3 The prices they gave me were for a 5 day pass 13 dollars for an adult and 3 dollars for a child and for a 3 day pass 9 dollars for an adult and 2 dollars for a child. Those prices were a one time fee and you could ride as much as you wanted in those timeframes. So, I hope that helped some. I haven't stayed, but will be (I think) :rotfl:.

This is why one should stay at the Hyatt and not the Crowne Plaza. The shuttle picks up at the Hyatt first. If there is room, it stops at the CP across the street. If there is no room (not unusual for early morning or evening during peak season), it goes directly to Disneyland.

It was good, the rooms are nice. You get 2 separate rooms, there is a full kitchen and TV's in each room. I only stayed for 2 days so there might be a cheaper pass for a longer period. We definitely made other stops. There typically was not many people getting on or off at Homewood so I think it would be expensive for them to maintain an exclusive bus.

We loved the Homewood.

We were there for 4 nights in early June. We took the shuttle everyday and it never stopped at any other hotel. I wonder if it may stop at other hotels during slow times? As for the cost I can't advise because our shuttle was automatically included with our reservation. We booked through Disneyland.com.

I copied this from another post that I made about Homewood.

We had our first DL trip in June w/ my DS3 and DS6m. We stayed at the Homewood Suites. We are planning on going again next summer. Even though there are some options that are cheaper I am willing to pay more for the wonderful experience we had.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone. Here's why:

1) Loved having a bedroom (2 queens), bathroom, living room and full kitchen. We were able to put our kids to bed and go to the other room to have some down time for me and my husband without disturbing the kids. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable.

2) While we didn't use the stove the full fridge and microwave rocked. We drove from Salt Lake City so we had a cooler and just put everything in the fridge when we arrived. We used the microwave for warming up leftovers, popcorn and baby food.

3) The staff was unlike any other hotel I've ever stayed at. We were welcomed every time we walked in with a smile. Although it was very full they even remembered my children's names. Everyday during breakfast we were asked if we were going to be back mid-day. The days we were the person took our room number to ensure that our rooms were cleaned and ready for us.

4) Free breakfast (7 days) and dinner (Sun - Thurs). The eggs at breakfast weren't great but everything else was. The dinner was perfect for our family. They had a taco night, spaghetti night and bbq (hot dogs & hamburgs). Free beer, wine and soda was included for dinner. My DH loved this. We filled our water bottles with soda when heading back to the park.

I could go on and on. It was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.
